How we keep cool 💦
During the heat we know it’s always a worry, making sure your pooch is cool.
Well if you book your dog in at Happi days you don’t need to worry. There isn’t a safer place to be in the summer.
❄️We have air conditioned playrooms

💦 Lots of water play for those who want to join in
🌳Shadded woodland for the early morning walks. We have cancelled the midday and afternoon walks for the last few days.
Shaded paddocks in the morning, then retiring to our nice cool playrooms during the worst of the heat.
So be assured if the heat continues, we have everything in place to keep the dogs as cool as can be 😎
Have you seen our new magical background ? We are just loving it 🏰.
With our grooming becoming very popular , we are getting booked up quite in advance now 🗓️.
However we surprisingly have a couple of one hour slots to fill on Saturdays in June at our Martlesham centre :
⭐️Saturday 22nd June 8.30am-9.30am.
⭐️Saturday 29th June 10.30-11.30am
These one hour slots would be suitable for quick baths of short to medium coated dogs . Or teeth cleaning and Nail trimming.

It is a filmed event with dog friendly carob Easter eggs and peanut butter hunts with the Easter bunny 🐰

Deshedding grooms
When you think of grooms do you tend to think they only apply to long coated dogs that need cuts and clipping?
Well that’s not the case , any short haired breeds or breeds that blow their coat can benefit from regular grooming. ✂️
When groomed professionally we can loosen the coat with the shower head , shampoo and pet massaging gloves. 🛁
Then we use our specialised undercoat blow dryer attachment to blow out any of the loose undercoat. 💨
Lastly we use the correct grooming tools from rakes to brushes to remove the rest of the undercoat. 🪮
This leaves your pooch’s coat shiny and conditioned , and allowing the skin to breath which helps them regulate their body temperature , especially as we approach spring time and warmer days. ☀️
Any breed is suitable from large shepherds and huskies to tiny chihuahuas like Rosie. We got nearly a whole Rosie sized fluff ball out of her whilst she dozed in and out of her nap.

Happi Days Dogs and their problems
We have been seeing a lot of funny viral videos going around social media of daycares showing off their creche dogs ‘problems’ and we wanted to do a Happi days version. Showing off our special dogs we have at creche and what silly behaviours they have that never fail to make our staff chuckle. We hope you enjoy watching and if you have any clips of your pooch doing something funny please do post in the comments so we can all have a chuckle together.
We love all our Happi days dogs, these are just a small selection of those that have their quirks (although im sure there are many more) Thanks for watching!
Nikki and Kat had another lovely group of scouts from Ipswich come and join them this week.
They met Teddy, Tilly and Jacob for the evening and learnt some basics for their animal care badge 🐶
🦴They learnt how to approach dogs and safely feed them treats
✂️How to gently brush dogs and why they need brushing
🛝They burnt some energy off testing out our play equipment
❓Got to ask questions about the dogs they had met, dogs needs in general and about daycares
🩹And lastly a few lucky children got to practise bandaging a very patient Jacob and Tilly
The children were very well behaved and it was a pleasure to meet them all. We were very proud of our staff dogs who thoroughly enjoyed all the fuss 👏

We are getting busy now in our grooming salon with Easter week being fully booked allready. However we some some good availability next week at our Martlesham crèche with Sophie and Kat.
We have :
Wednesday 20th at 10am (1.5 hr slot only)
Friday 22nd 9.30am and 4pm
Saturday 23rd 8am (1.5 hour slot only)
