Here is a 2 degree Ed eclipse 3d hoofcare heel support pad, I use these without impression material to keep the package nice and light the wide frog plate helps to absorb concussion and disperse the forces around the foot more evenly and the 2 degree graduation slightly helps achieve a better hoof pastern axis without taking the toe back excessively so I can retain strength in the foot. 🙂🐴🔨💪 👑 Jim Blurton Farrier Products Stromsholm Farriers Supplies

This post is to advise there will be an increase in price on all shoeing services to be put into effect from 1st January 2024(new customers only) 1st February 2024(exsisting customers only) This is the first price increase I have made in two years this is down to a rise in the cost of materials, insurances and to ensure I dont fall below market rate.

Please see below prices from 2024:
⭐️Full set £90
⭐️Front shoes including hind feet trimmed £60
⭐️Trims £35
⭐️Stud holes £10 for a set, £5 for front shoes
⭐️Remedial shoeing POA

Some remedial work from this week on jack an 8 year old thoroughbred, after a small fracture of his radius on the left fore he was on strict box rest for 6 month,on returning to light work his hoof on the right fore has become very flat and collapsed probably through over compensating and contralateral weight bearing from his injury on the left fore.

The right fore was shod using a graduated barshoe and dental impression material and the left fore was just a normal barshoe . In my opinion highly important to shoe each individual foot for what it needs.

Pictures and x-rays after shoeing are attached, the foot balance still needs some work but horseshoeing is progressive and takes time and I only feel this foot would of got worse if I didn't intervene in a timely manner.

Before Vs after the difference in 3 shoeing's for this horse, shod for 2 cycles using frog support pads until a stronger caudal hoof was achieved then I was able to go back to a normal shoe on the 3rd visit. 💪🐎🔨

Hoof cast applied today on a horse that lost a shoe a while ago but the owner was on holiday so the foot was compromised and I couldn't get nails in safely.

Some remedial work from today, Jim Blurton Farrier Products full roller motion shoe,this is a wide web aluminium shoe that gives good protection to the sole and helps to keep the horse on top of the surface it also helps bring dorsal breakover closer to the centre of articulation without comprising the toe of the hoof, The collateral rolling reduces the asymmetrical stress on the flexor tendons and suspensory apparatus. 💪🐎🔨
