Batten down the hatches…… 💨🌧️🌪️

Coco, Denzel and Charles using their donkey wisdom and watching the storm brewing from inside 😏

As you can imagine our hay, straw, feed and bedding are running low with the extra demands the winter brings,

Little Miss Millie… 💗

She is such a darling girl,can be shy still at times you just have to be very gentle and calm around her and she soon lets her guard down and realises your not going to harm her 🥰
Her and Poppy have such a strong bond,Poppy is quite protective of her, sometimes Millie will get grumpy with her as if to say ‘ leave me alone’ 😆

Percy… 💕

He is such a sensitive boy, always has his eyes on you watching what your doing, he can pick up on your mood, your feelings and will be by your side nudging you for a cuddle if your feeling a bit down or emotional… Omg it certainly makes you smile and feel so much better 🥰 they are amazing animals and so misunderstood.

Ollie… beautiful inside and out 🥰

One of our first donkeys along with Rusty, he is now in his twilight years, last time we posted Ollie he wasn’t himself having sadly been diagnosed with Cushings disease ☹️
Pleased to say his daily meds are working and he is much brighter and back to his usual self ☺️ we absolutely adore him he holds a very special place in our hearts ♥️ xx

This boy is such a sweetheart, ever so quiet and gentle, he is in his mid to late teens likes his own company and his special meals, oh yes he won’t let you forget his meals he has one hell of a distinctive loud bray 😆

What a sky line, before rain sleet and snow…. Brr it was a very challenging day weather wise yesterday and so cold 🥶❄️
All donkeys tucked in on deep beds with plenty to eat.

Hopefully some winter sunshine to follow today 🌤️ take care all keep warm xx

Whoo Hoo! The rain has stopped!!! 🤗😃

Rusty loves a facial…… 🥰 Hope you enjoy this little clip! We steam the donkeys hay to help reduce dust etc. it comes out of the steamer smelling malty and delicious and is of course lovely and warm, as soon as you make your way over to the shelters to put it in the troughs we are met by little Rusty who won’t let you pass without his daily ritual of rubbing his face all over it he absolutely loves it! It makes us smile every time 😊
