Earlier this year I was commissioned to carry out a light restoration on this extinct pair of Huia birds from New Zealand late 19th century ( last sighting was in 1907). They were returned to my customer and recently were sold at auction in London. It was a pleasure to be part of their journey.

Big thank you to Carl Church for supplying the tail feathers from a kingfisher that wasn’t good enough to be mounted, which meant I could produce an entire bird.
Update: No longer available, thank you to all that showed an interest.
