We have been waiting a long time for our Chrysaora plocamia polyps to go, and now all 3 polyp collections are going at once!

We took on our first acrylic tank build, making some air kreisels for Great Yarmouth Sealife. Dennis designed them and used our CNC machine to get a perfectly smooth finish. Removable 3D printed lid clips allow good access and are removable if a lid is not required.

Our moon polyps are starting to strobilate producing lots of ephyrae. Once released these tiny jellyfish will be free swimming feeding on planktonic creatures.

I've not had the opportunity to keep box jellyfish but saw them in Ocean Park when I went for jellyfish training, very cool creatures!

We would like to introduce our absolutely stunning collection of Hippocampus erectus seahorses. We will be using them in our educational sessions, but also to start up a breeding program. Dennis and I have many years experience breeding and rearing seahorses so we thought this would be an exciting addition to our business.

We saw lots of sea gooseberries Pleurobrachia pileus in a sea loch in Kames recently. Our children found them fascinating reflecting the light with their comb rows.

I large group of jellyfish is called a smack. I once saw a group like this in Oban and it was an incredible sight.

Fisherman Chris Hinton says the jellyfish covered an area roughly the size of a football pitch.

Today Project Jellyfish attended Horizon Primary Academy teaching their Reception class all about jellyfish. We looked closely at the moon jellyfish life cycle, their food and jellyfish we can find around the UK coastline. The children and teachers were fascinated by these mesmerising and unusual creatures and had lots of questions to ask.
