Little Frank the Cavapoo is a very nervous boy but has been so brave during his physiotherapy sessions. 🥰
Frank is currently recovering from spinal surgery (an L2-L6 hemilaminectomy) following an intervertebral disc extrusion in his lumbar spine. ❤️🐾

Sidney the Dachshund is receiving regular physiotherapy to aid his recovery following a T12-T13 disc extrusion and consequent Hemilaminectomy (decompression spinal surgery). 🐶
This week we applied some Kinesiology tape to the body to help stimulate the sensory nervous system and and encourage hind limb engagement. 🐾🐾
Sidney is a fidget and so spent the majority of the taping session stuffing his face with cheese. 😂🧀

Ivy the Staffie suffered an FCE (spinal stroke) at Easter time and has been receiving regular physio to help get her back on her feet. 🐾 She has done brilliantly so far and is back to being her normal cheeky self. 😊

Albert the 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. 😍
Albert had his first physiotherapy session today to help manage and treat recently diagnosed Hip Dysplasia. 🐾 He was definitely more interested in playing than sitting still during his assessment but he loved his therapeutic exercises, probably because there were treats involved! 😂

Lovely Lily stood like a champ during her first physiotherapy session this week. 🥰🐴

Physiotherapy can play an important role in spotting a potential problem before it becomes an obvious issue. Following both a static and dynamic musculoskeletal assessment, Lily was found to be experiencing some mild weakening of the thoracic sling, particularly within the thoracic trapezius muscles. Recruitment of the soft tissues making up the thoracic sling are responsible for supporting the thorax between the forelimbs and therefore are essential to a horse’s stability and movement. A range of manual therapies were applied to target the area and an exercise plan was formulated to help strengthen the thoracic limbs and promote a balanced gait. 🐎

Maisey receives regular physio to help manage and treat an old injury to her left fore. She didn’t have the easiest start in life but now lives a life of luxury with her amazing owner, Tracey Clark. Such a brave and special girl. 💜

Super adorable puppy Barney had his first physiotherapy session this week to aid his rehabilitation following an FHO (femoral head and neck ostectomy). 🥰🐾
He’s been given a special exercise plan to help strengthen his hind limbs and was ever so well behaved during his laser therapy, massage and passive stretches! 🐶
