Senior Pet Grooming 🐾
Senior dogs often struggle with mobility and need frequent breaks to sit/lie down, and in some cases they need the full groom being done on the floor. I always work towards your pets best interest, so if this means having them in for the day with me and doing little and often grooming, on the floor or the table, I will of course offer this, and tailor the groom to your pet’s individual needs.
Today, 12 year old Sonny didnt want to stand on the table for his groom and he was a bit wobbly, so for his safety, I dried and groomed him on the floor! My leggings got covered in fluff 😂

Treat orientated dogs are much easier to groom as they generally learn how I want them to behave so quick!
If I’m doing their paw pads, for example, I’d they pull back and do the twisties, they don’t get a treat. As soon as they settle and allow me to do it, they get a treat. You’d be amazed how quickly most dogs pick this up!

(Disclaimer- I do not spend any longer than 10/15 mins dematting as it isn’t in the best interest of your pet, any matts that won’t come out with a slicker brush and the blaster dryer will be clipped off for your pet’s welfare. Some fur types brush out easier than others, so this service is totally dependant on your pet’s fur, condition of coat, and behaviour)
