END OF THE LINE.
Chris and I have made the decision not to breed Calypso which sadly brings our line to an end, as we will not bring on another bitch. Aro can now enjoy her retirement in peace, Valentino will continue with selected stud duties, as he is still very much needed in the UK gene pool, and Calypso is already enjoying a fantastic new life with her brother Knox, though they will always be regular visitors here, as they are still in our close family.
For those of you who have waited patiently for Calypso’s first litter, we are so sorry, but this decision was based on the fact that after two years, she is such a sweet little thing but due to mental maturity and physical factors, we feel there would be too much risk to take in breeding her. Whilst it is disappointing, it was an easy decision to make; welfare is our top priority, and whilst Aro loved raising puppies (but not keeping them 😂) Calypso is still very puppy-like herself, and should continue to be so. Not every great example of the breed must be bred from; she was the best we could do; a bombproof, well put together bitch… with 100% recall 🤦🏽♀️ but she’s a pet and that’s all she wants to be 🤷🏽♀️ and she’s now allowed on the sofa so she’ll never come back 😂
We will be helping our top 15 families in finding puppies sired by Tino, or via other reputable breeders, and will not be going for our next Assured Breeder assessment, so we will be off the ABS.
We hope the dogs have kept everyone entertained; thank you for following their journey over the years, and to the Anapel families keeping us in touch with our pups🖤
