Walking Miles LICENCE NUMBER 21/00592/AWBH We are a small, family run Dog Walking and Pet Sitting service that caters for all animal needs.

Walking Service:
There is nothing worse than going to work, or for a family day out and having to leave your dog at home for long periods of time. I can come to your home and collect your dog in my van and go for either a 30 minute or 1 hour walk. The 'timer' doesn't start until we are out on our walk so your dog would be out of the house and have company for a while longer. Dogs are generally wal

ked in groups (up to a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time), however if you require one to one walks please let us know and this can be arranged. All of our walks are in the countryside, away from roads so that your dog can have a really good run. Visits:
We also offer peace of mind whilst you are away from your animal during the working day by being able to 'Pop-in' and make sure that your dog/cat is fed/watered/let out/clean. If you have just aquired a new addition of a puppy, we are able to arrange 'special' visits where we can help with the transition to coming out walking, by helping to get your pup used to the routine of putting on a collar/lead, helping with their 'recall' and of course giving out plenty of fuss mixed wit a few treats. And we are also able to provide an 'emergency' call out, for our regular customers. So if you are delayed at work or generally have your own emergency, we can come and make sure your pets are sorted out. Home Boarding:
We offer a home from home boarding service based at our family home in Thorpe Waterville. For all rates, please call or email for your individual requirements.

Did you know...

Fake snow on Christmas trees can be toxic to pets and can trigger allergies in humans:

Pets: Fake snow, also known as flocking, can be mildly toxic to pets if ingested.

It can cause:

Intestinal blockages
Excess drooling
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Seizures
Unusual behavior

If your pet eats a lot of fake snow or shows signs of illness, contact your vet.

Humans: Inhaling particles from fake snow can trigger asthma attacks.

Safety tips:
To keep pets safe, you can:
Avoid artificial trees with fake snow and stick to ones with bare branches

Avoid edible decorations like popcorn or candy canes

Fake snow is made by applying a mixture of cellulose fibers and white adhesive to the branches of a real tree.

I am getting organised!! Don't expect it to continue!! 🤣🤣🤣

This year is the first in 15 years that we will have no dogs staying on Christmas Day, Santa Paws won't be making a visit to us this year.

This means we are able to enjoy a different kind of Christmas with our families and I shall also be taking a few extra days off to recover from 2024 before I throw myself back into things in the new year.

We will have a few doggies staying over New Year.
Please note that 30th/31st December I shall only be offering walks and boarding and the odd visit where needed.

I politely request that all bookings up to and including 24th December are in the system ASAP (before 10th December) to avoid disappointment.

Also, please book your walks, visits and daycare for the New Year as soon as you are able. This year I want to close the diary and get all invoices sent on or around the 17th December so I can have some proper time off for the festive period.

We are already whizzzzzzzzzzing through September and it's time to start looking towards the later part of the year!!

Walking Clients: Please make sure you book ahead for those walking slots, some days are becoming a lot busier and I would hate to disappoint anyone!

Please remember that WEEKLY booking MUST be received by Friday 7pm for the following week to guarantee walking slots. Any bookings after 7pm may be turned down.

Please use your Client Portal for your requests.

Visits: Please book as far ahead as possible for your visits via the Client Portal.

Daycare and Boarding: We currently have space throughout October for both services... please don't forget that have a Half Term break in October and we anticipate that these spaces WILL fill up quickly.

Please note that Daycare and Boarding can ONLY be booked via Em directly, and NOT through the Client Portal. Any requests put through the portal will be refused.

A non-refundable/transferable deposit is required for ALL boarding bookings at the time of booking. If a deposit is not paid within 7 days of requesting, then the booking shall be removed from the diary.

Don't forget it is a legal requirement to make sure that your dog is wearing an up to date I.D. tag on a well fitting collar.

If you do not supply a tag for your dog then I cannot provide services, it's really that simple.

Tags can be picked up at a very affordable price so there is no excuse, you can get dangly tags or ones that wrap around the collar or the collar goes through. You can get traditional metal ones or even stretchy silicon ones.

I will be checking each collar when I do pick up this week and will give you a reminder, after that its a case of no collar - no service.

We are 12 years old!!!

From those teeny tiny beginnings when I walked for another business because it fitted in around the kids and school, to being a fully fledged limited company and a reputable 5 star licenced home boarder with an extensive customer list!

AND I still walk a dog that I walked back on day 1!

So, Hattie this is to celebrate you too ole gal! You may not be able to go as far these days but you still get so excited to go out everyday.

As always, please trust my judgement when it comes to your dogs and the weather, if walks are cut short because it’s too warm, I will make up for it when it’s cooler, if it becomes too hot to transport your dogs then I shall swap to welfare checks and visits.
