Walking Miles LICENCE NUMBER 21/00592/AWBH We are a small, family run Dog Walking and Pet Sitting service that caters for all animal needs.

Walking Service:
There is nothing worse than going to work, or for a family day out and having to leave your dog at home for long periods of time. I can come to your home and collect your dog in my van and go for either a 30 minute or 1 hour walk. The 'timer' doesn't start until we are out on our walk so your dog would be out of the house and have company for a while longer. Dogs are generally wal

ked in groups (up to a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time), however if you require one to one walks please let us know and this can be arranged. All of our walks are in the countryside, away from roads so that your dog can have a really good run. Visits:
We also offer peace of mind whilst you are away from your animal during the working day by being able to 'Pop-in' and make sure that your dog/cat is fed/watered/let out/clean. If you have just aquired a new addition of a puppy, we are able to arrange 'special' visits where we can help with the transition to coming out walking, by helping to get your pup used to the routine of putting on a collar/lead, helping with their 'recall' and of course giving out plenty of fuss mixed wit a few treats. And we are also able to provide an 'emergency' call out, for our regular customers. So if you are delayed at work or generally have your own emergency, we can come and make sure your pets are sorted out. Home Boarding:
We offer a home from home boarding service based at our family home in Thorpe Waterville. For all rates, please call or email for your individual requirements.

🌟 Client Portal Update – We Need Your Help! 🌟

Hi everyone!

We’re making some much-needed updates to our online Client Portal and would really appreciate it if you could take a moment to log in and review your details.

🐾 You’ll now see individual sections when adding your pets – please take the time to fill out EVERYTHING. It helps us to provide the best possible care for your animals and ensures we have the right info at the right time.

🚶‍♂️🏠🐶 We’ve also introduced dedicated areas for:
• Dog Walking
• Home Boarding
• Home Visits

This should make things much easier for you to navigate – and quicker for us to access the information we need to carry out services smoothly.

📌 Not every section will apply to you – and that’s totally fine! It’s not a test, and we’re not marking you out of 10 😉
But the way we care for pets (and the world around them) has changed a lot over the last 13 years – and it’s important that we keep up.

For example:
🎥 CCTV or Ring Doorbells (and similar devices) now need to be declared – not because we’re shy (trust us, we’re not doing a performance!) but because under UK Data Protection Law, it’s your legal responsibility to inform us if you’re recording on your property.

💬 Plus, we’ve had a few “Smile for the camera!” moments mid-visit that were… well, a little unexpected 😂

🐕‍🦺 And on the flip side – some dogs react to doorbell sounds, even from TV adverts – so it’s useful for us to know that too, especially when we’ve got a few dogs staying at once!

💻 We know the new system looks cleaner on our end than it might on yours – we’re working on that and have passed feedback to the developers. But rest assured, once your info is updated, you’ll only need to check it:
✔️ When something changes
✔️ Or once a year to help us stay compliant with our licence, insurance… and sanity 😉

Thanks so much for your continued support – and as always, if you have any questions, just drop us a message!

That’s all folks!

Apart from a couple of pick ups from boarding and a couple of visits and a walk with my bestest dog friend, that is us done in time for our annual holiday!

As you know I rarely take any time for me… well US now that I’ve got this thing called a ‘husband’ but he does insist that we have a few days off because otherwise, apparently, I get cranky!

So here we are.

Now please remember:
🐶 KEEP COOL
🐶 If you need to change walks or visits please use your customer portal. That’s literally what it’s there for!!
🐶 I won’t be back for walks until Tuesday 26th August as 25th is Bank Holiday
🐶 ALL other enquiries will be sorted when I’m back (enquiring about what time to drop your dog off in July 2026 is defo NOT urgent and won’t be looked at til I’m back!)

Love you all millions and can’t wait to hear what mischief you all get up to while I’m gone!

(P.S. Invoices have also been sent out early, cos I won’t be looking at that stuff til I’m back!)

😘

Just a quick heads-up that we will be closed from Tuesday 19th August to Friday 22nd August 2025 (inclusive) for our annual break. During this time, there will be no walks, visits, daycare or boarding, as we’ll be away recharging our batteries! ☀️🌊

✅ Monday 18th August – Business as usual!
✅ Saturday 23rd August – We reopen for boarding and daycare.
🚶‍♂️ Walks will resume on Tuesday 26th August, as Monday 25th is a Bank Holiday.

📲 Please use the online portal to book in your services for the following week to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding 💚

Daycare Attendance Update – Effective 1st June 2025 🐶

From 1st June 2025, all daycare dogs will be required to attend a minimum of 2 days per month.

This helps us maintain a calm and familiar environment for both daycare and boarding dogs. When dogs attend less than once a month, it’s like hitting the reset button — it can cause unnecessary stress for your dog and disrupt the balance within the group.

To reflect the additional care and attention required in these cases, dogs who do not meet the minimum attendance will be charged our standard boarding rate.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we prioritise the wellbeing of all dogs in our care. 🐾

It's the end of the month and I've become aware that some people haven't been receiving invoices to their inbox but to their junk folder.

Copies/reminders have been sent out this morning, we currently have a very large number of invoices outstanding which is VERY unusual.

If you've already paid, a huge thank you and if you think you've not had an invoice this month please go and check your junk folder.

Thanks 😬
