Nakima's Fan Club at The Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary Nakima was rescued by Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary Charity No 1076645. All animals in our care will remain here for the rest of their lives.

The Sanctuary is a registered Charity, No 1076645, and survives on donations and visitor admissions. VISION
To preserve the integrity of the Articles of the Charity in every aspect of the work we do here at the Sanctuary and to provide a quality service to our supporters without contravening the ethos of the Sanctuary. To provide an educational resource and visitor experience and make a signific

ant contribution to the economy of the Upper Swansea and Dulais Valleys. MISSION STATEMENT
We intend to do our utmost to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need as far as we are able to accommodate them and provide them with a high level of care and quality of life. We aim to continuously improve animal welfare by training and developing our staff and volunteers to their full potential. We intend also to constantly review and improve our facilities for visitors who provide the main source of funding. In this way we hope to maintain a balance between the ethos of the Sanctuary and the necessity for its economic viability and to provide our supporters with a comprehensive understanding of the factors governing the Sanctuary’s development.

Nakima can hardly believe that it's been 4 years since we locked down for Covid 😬

Those were scary times. We didn't know how the sanctuary would survive or how we would manage, especially with all the panic buying. It was a real worry.

And of course we were extremely worried for the animals as we didn't want them to catch covid. Our staff were super careful, still are in infact.

It was a long haul, exhausting. Working tirelessly to fundraise & filling out grant forms. Sharing our wishlist constantly.

It all seems like a lifetime ago but we honestly couldn't have got through it without you ❀️

The support you gave us meant we can still be here & care for our extended family.

We are always completely blown away by your generosity ❀️
