Morning mutters ❤️

As we head into another hot period I shall be making decisions based on the weather forecast this week and going forward into the summer .

It’s my responsibility when I have you’re dogs in my care , and for as much as it is a pain for some I would much rather your dogs were home safe when the weather is too hot .

Priority will be given to the ones who’s
Owners are at work all day , of course I will still accommodate with a garden break and an ice pop as usual 😂

It’s never a hard decision for me, it’s a sensible one .

I shall be touching base every day with my clients as sadly I can’t predict the weather .

The Mutt Hut shall be off on holiday from Monday 17th of July 2023 returning to work Monday 24th July .

We will also be closed all day on Wednesday 6th September 2023 to es**rt one of the pups to a wedding ❤️

Happy to say the scheme is running again and The Mutt Hut shall be joining again. giving you the Owner peace of mind ❤️

All councils should be running these schemes with more regulations for dog walkers .

Far to many dog walkers out there with unsecured dogs in their vehicles and far too many dogs at the one time

People think it’s an easy job and a quick money maker ?

Believe me it isn’t and I would urge anyone looking for a dog walker to check Fife Councils Dog Watch listings to ensure your dog walker is fully insured - responsible and all above board .

Sick to death of seeing dog walkers opening their vans and loads all pile out the back and it’s even worse when they are travelling by car no seatbelts harnesses- nothing - no wonder dog walkers get a bad name .

I have seen dogs injured when fights break out in the back of the dog walkers vans because they are not crated and secured and even more no separation - and if your driving down the road what are you supposed to do ? Excactly !

How is anyone supposed to control a load of dogs if the worst happens , what if one runs off - what if a load of off leads dogs approach you and your dog ?

My dogs are friendly is the worst thing any of them can say to me - well some of mine aren’t hence they are solo walks not the first time I have had a few heated arguments with other dog walkers

WE ARE CLOSED TODAY

If your pup is home alone and if you have been lucky enough to get to work I will be on foot patrol for the local walks .

Please if you haven’t already seen my contact this morning let me know asap .

I know it’s not much fun if your pup isn’t out today but please bare in mind safety comes first for them and myself, not a decision made lightly this morning.

Due to roads all over Fife including my walking routes being closed and flooded I may take a little more time to get to you today , sit tight pups ❤️

All the routes I take to one to the other are closed but being Scottish I will walk 500 miles 😂
