What a week we had last week ❄️ Let’s hope the thaw comes quickly and we can all return to some normality .

We are ready to go and planning on back to normal from tomorrow Monday the 13th .

If your road however is still not drivable please let us know prior to your collection and we can look to rearrange .

Thankyou so much to our pawrents for their patience and understanding over the last week . If we’ve had to cancel or rearrange appointments we appreciate your support .

Another Christmas morning where we are completely overwhelmed by your generosity . Thankyou so much to our dogs and their pawrents for the thoughtful gifts from chocs and biccies cups and socks to the masses of alcoholic beverages . We absolutely love what we do and love the dogs we care for 🐶.

⛄️Christmas Opening Hours ⛄️

We have decided this year to take an elongated break over the festive period , for the first time ever since we started Bilbos Board and Walk . 🐶🐾

We will be closing on the evening of Friday 20th December and re-opening the morning of Monday January 6th 2025 .

We will however remain walking our home boarders who are staying with us throughout the Christmas and New Year period so if any of our clients need some help there will be the opportunity to book onto our daily activities. Just message or call Tony on 07399562039 .

Ted has had lots and lots of applications and has now been reserved . This is fantastic news and Ted will look forward to Christmas and the rest of his doggie days in a new family .

Big shout out to Joanna Cooper who is doing a fabulous job of caring for Ted whilst his transition to his new home is completed .

Based in Bradford, this lovely boy can live with cats, dogs (although fine as an only dog) & children aged 5+.

Ted has been an absolute joy in foster – his wiggly salsa moves and happy nature never fail to bring a smile! He loves meeting new people and is fantastic off-lead.

He’s great with other dogs and cats, always respectful and wanting to be friends. Ted’s affectionate, loves cuddles, and is happy to relax by your side after a fun walk.

Ted would thrive in a home with children, dogs, or cats and would love someone who enjoys walks and outdoor adventures.

We are off the drives and out . Main roads are clear side roads a little more challenging . We have pushed back some of our morning dogs to a little later to give us more time to collect if this includes you you will have been notified by message .

We are keeping a close eye on the weather this evening and into the morning and are hoping it will be safe enough for us to get to you all tomorrow .

If however, it’s not safe for the dogs or ourselves to travel then we will notify you on social media as well as individually first thing in the morning when we’ve assessed the situation and made our decision .

If we can’t get out then we may be able to offer a skeleton service on foot to any of our buddies who require it in the BD12 area .

Thank you to everyone who has provided lots of amazing responses to our application with the council to get permission for Dogs Unleashed. 🐕

We have received some messages that the Kirklees website has not allowed people to send responses through, you have the ability to email the planner directly over this weekend here:

So at the 11th hour we have an email address for the planner . As you know there appears to have been problems with the online commenting function . So please if you can genuinely see the benefits of secure field off lead facilities drop an email asap to the above .

Another local dog field we could lose !

Please if you can and want to and have a few minutes support this local professional much needed facility .

Happy dogs, happy life . We all share the same space on this planet and dogs deserve a little bit where they can just be dogs in a safe environment .

Thank you for everyone who has already submitted positive responses to our planning permission application. The more support we receive, the better the chances of having the permission granted.

There was some issues with people not being able to submit responses on the Kirklees site, but we believe this issue has been fixed.

If you haven’t sent a response through and have the spare time it would be a great help if you could provide some positive feedback.

When dogs are just like hoomans .

There a dogs who 1) love to run and play In the sea and sand getting themselves as mucky as possible and there are those 2) who just want to lie on the beach in the sun and pose for pics all day ! 🤣!

What a fabulous day these 2 have had . Lots of fresh air , playing sand and sun 🌞. Feeding the soul and making memories . Plus a bonus we bumped into Bev Hemingway , Howard and Ernie and it was so lovely to see them . What a small and beautiful world we live in 🐾🐕🥰
