Checking for owner

A young black cat, with a small white patch on its chest, has been visiting a house in the Ashwood Drive area of Stranraer recently. We believe it's a female. No microchip. The resident enjoys these visits but wants to make sure there's no owner currently missing the cat. We have put a paper collar on the cat, in the hopes that if it is returning home, the owner will see the collar and contact us to confirm it is an owned cat.

If you own a cat fitting the description and it returns home with a paper collar, please get in touch to let us know this is your cat.

What a fantastic turnout, we had a fantastic number of entries and in our eyes, all of your fluffy friends are winners!

So huge congratulations to Peanut and their humans. we will be sending you an extra best in show rosette in the post.

MISSING from Stranraer

UPDATE- Bow is now back home with his family.

This is Now andhe escaped from his new home in Kintyre Court. The family had recently moved from McDowall Drive. So he may be trying to find his way back to his old home.

If you live between these areas, please check sheds, garages, greenhouses etc in case he's sheltering there.

He is a black cat with a white chest and white toes. He is 3 years old and neutered.

This is Smokey and he went missing from the Belmont Road area 6 days ago.

Smokey is a male black cat who is micro chipped.

A huge thankyou to everyone that participated, liked, shared and donated which made this such a special event. We have loved seeing all your photos and this has helped raise vital funds for cats and kittens in our care with £195 raised.

STILL SEEKING A HOME FOR FLOWER

Flower came into CP care after she had given birth to kittens in a lady's home. Unfortunately the elderly resident cat did not like this and we managed to find Flower a foster space up in Glasgow.
We were so grateful to the Glasgow Branch for offering her this space, as we were full to capacity.

Flower's six kittens are now all spoken for and about to go to their new homes. This leaves beautiful Flower still waiting as is often the case.

We are appealing on this page in the hope of finding her a home, similar to that of which she had when she lived here. She is used to a village location in a quiet home. She is nervous of strangers and bonds with a single person, preferably a lady.

Can you offer Flower a quiet home with a large garden to explore and feel safe in?
She is only 2 years old, healthy and really wanting to get back to a rural scene. She is not a town girl, she's a real country girl.

DO YOU RECOGNISE THIS CAT?

This gentle old cat has been visiting residents in the West End area of Stranraer for some time.

Do you recognise it? We'd love to know it has an owner and a home.

Many shades of Shady

This bad boy came into care after his owner suddenly passed away.

He's a joy, a total delight. Gentle, loving fabulous. But.....Shady is suffering from chronic rhinitis, which makes it difficult for him to breath.

He has had regular treatments and gets a 15 minute sauna every day to help relieve this.
Next Tuesday he's off to the vets for more Investigations in the hope of finding out how far this condition has developed. It can progress to polyps in the nose and ears and even to tumours. We hope that for Shady, it can be managed and he can go on to enjoy his senior years in comfort. A classic example of why you really should vaccinate your cat.

So, never a better time to show your loved cat in our virtual cat show and make a donation at the same time. All donations go to this branch and help towards the vet bills for cats like Shady. Even if you don't enter your cat, you can still donate. Help us help Shady and get him in a better place than where he is right now.
