A car can heat up within minutes, even on a cloudy day.

Don't leave your dog in your car, even if you are popping into the shop.

Call your local branch to get your feline friend booked in for their microchip!

From 10 June 2024 cats over 20 weeks old must be microchipped and registered on a compliant database. 🐾

This includes cats that usually only stay indoors.

By microchipping their cats, owners can increase the likelihood that they will be reunited with their beloved pet if they go missing.

More information on how to get your cat microchipped can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/get-your-dog-cat-microchipped

❗️VACCINES❗️

Is your pet due a booster? Or have their vaccinations lapsed and they need to restart them? Due to such a high demand for these appointments, we are holding several NURSE LED vaccination clinics in our BLACKWOOD branch.

What does nurse led mean? This is where one of our fantastic registered veterinary nurses will carry out your pets health check, ensuring they are fit and healthy. The Vet will then come in and prescribe the vaccination. These clinics are for annual boosters, or restarts only and are for healthy pets with no health concerns. If your pet needs anything other than a vaccination, or any medication (other than routine flea and wormer), you will need to book a routine appointment with the vet.

These clinics are open to all of our registered clients and will be held on the following dates:

Saturday 27th April 2024
Saturday 11th May 2024
Saturday 18th May 2024

If you would like to book in for one of these dates please call your local branch. If you already have an appointment booked and would like to bring it forward to one of these clinics please let us know. Please note there will be no late appointments available on these dates.

Providing veterinary care at a fair and reasonable price

Budget Vets started life over 10 years ago on Malpas Road in Newport and in that time we have grown from one to seven branches.

Our aim is to provide veterinary care at a fair and reasonable price to all animals, at all times, regardless of their owner’s income, background or circumstances.

We offer all the same services and facilities you would expect to find in any other veterinary practice and in some cases, more. From in-house laboratories to digital x-ray machines, our equipment ensures that your pet gets the right treatment as soon as possible.
