Erin had a dinner guest last night 🦔. I had to gently roll the hedgehog out of her garden feeding station then sit with her while she had her fill. I'm sure Prickles enjoyed the fresh water & any leftovers afterwards!

Had a major breakthrough with Ninja (black cat) during my latest stint of visits. I normally either don't see her, or she hides on the wardrobe or under the bed.
This toy enticed her to come down from the wardrobe & play. She even sniffed my hand towards the end 😻🥳
Rupert found what I think is a horse's overreach boot in Robin's Wood on Thursday & had fantastic fun playing keepaway with Bella.
He soon realised quite how persistent she is though 😂. Every time he needed a little lie down, she would bark at him, as though to say "gimme a turn".
This was the 1st time she managed to snaffle it but would easily abandoned the boot when I asked, for him to collect again, as the chase was more fun than the prize 🤩
🎶If you go down to the woods t.. SQUIRREL!!!
Luna spent some time gazing into the tree tops on her pack walk today, hoping a nutkin would come close to her.
When heading back to the car, both Bella & Rupert wanted to give Luna kisses 🥰
Bobby gazes at me & says:
"I love....treats!"
Happy Valentines Day to all "my" pets & their humans too.
Let's be real though, everyday is filled with love when you have a pet 🥰
The awesome foursome finishing their walk in Robins Wood earlier.
Luna is still in season, so couldn't enjoy the woods as fully as usual & Ziggy gets limited off lead time to protect his dicky hips.
Rupert really got Red to play yesterday morning 🤩. When Red spins, he's really enjoying himself, even if his noises sound feisty
Beautiful start to the day in Ticknall this morning!
It's no hardship to go back to work after the Xmas break on your birthday when you get greeted by such happy faces 🥰

Merry Christmas everybody!
Thanks so much for the gifts this week, I'll have plenty to walk off in the new year 😂.
Enjoy the holidays & I'll see your pets again from 3rd Jan ###
Long overdue photo dump!
Garden visits for Lester this week. We're doing some muzzle training as our homework, then having a brief bit of livelier fun before calming down with 'find it' sausage hunting in the shady part of the garden. Lester is such a smart cookie, he's smashing it all already.
Bertie & Red were reunited this afternoon. Bertie's brother is recuperating from the ✂️, so we headed over to explore their new area & make sure Bertie still got his exercise while Hugo rested.
Said good evening to River & Brian, then went to deal with their litter tray. Came back to Brian's cute request for fuss, so of course I obliged 😻
My current favourite place for Melbourne area dogs. Free car parking with a shady walk down to water, so less of a walk more of a swim for the pooches which is great for this weather.
Managed to dodge the showers today, so these guys had a lovely sunny pack walk.
Slightly different business post for me:
So the operators can have a holiday, Rocket & I have temporarily reprised our old career of pub management at the Hardinge Arms (DE738BX) until the 27th May.
Don't worry, my (week)day job is unaffected! Dog walks at weekends may not be possible though.
However, the Hardinge is dog friendly in the bar area & also has plenty of outside seating so it would be lovely to see some of you! There's beautiful walks in the area.
There's food service, car parking & WiFi available & rooms if required.
I get to have two-way conversations for a change, though I may have to resist calling customers "good boy" or "good girl", especially if they bring their empties to the bar 😂.
Happy weekend everyone!
Some of my more recent dog pics.
(I'm honestly the worst self promoter: I take pics but then forget to upload).

I've been quiet for far too long. Here's some of the cuties I've visited since my last post
Such a relaxing start to the day! I have a huge soft spot for Alfie, as he's one of the few cats I visit that actually craves attention ☺️. After sorting the business of his visits out, we always have a cuddle, with the soothing (but loud) sound of his purr machine going 🤗
Providing temporary walks for Bobby this week, with possibility for future ad hoc walks.
He's another loving staffy that has fear aggression with other dogs but can be refocused by his handler (for that, read bribed with treats 😂).
He also has impressive paw-kour skills while negotiating stiles!
Cole & Enzo escaped the rain today, not that you can tell as they wrestled so much on muddy fields & in puddles 🤦. They both definitely needed a hose down 🚿. They love to "attack" the water, so note my crafty way of tethering them so I could actually wash them efficiently 😂👩🎓
Anyone know of anyone wanting a daxie? One of my netball buddies owns the gorgeous temperament mum who reared these beauties.
Ziggy, Luna & I (plus Bella) have been reunited this week. Ziggy has been restricted to comfort breaks due to post operative care but Luna has had off lead jaunts.

Yup, glad there was the river nearby, phew! PS. Also that Cole chose to swim. PPS. Only time I'll throw sticks for dogs (especially as a certain walking buddy has a tendency to let toys float off downstream)
Sorry for the overexcited talking 😅 but I've found it really helps a dog learn what I want from him/her when encouraging swimming. I did lots of woohoo-ing, good boy-ing & clapping when getting Enzo to show Cole the ropes. Cole looked at me like "I'm a good boy too, I'll show you" & off he went 👏💪🏊
Things we learnt today: Enzo is now a swimmer, as long as he has a target to fetch. He's getting close to wanting to swim for it's own sake too (hovering in the deep by 2nd "good boy"). He isn't fazed by the current. (Note, after this video I did make sure to stay downstream of his fetch in case he wanted help). Also, dehydrated liver is the bomb. All dogs today really enjoyed my homemade treat - good job I have more!
