I'm a self employed cleaner but over the last year I've taken on grooming services for friends in the sutherland area so have decided to add being a freelance groom as a side line.

It's only the start to the weekend and I had not 1 but 2!! Escapees 🤦‍♀️🤣
This morning Cooper found it hilarious he could squeeze past the kubota and the fence line while I went to shut the gate behind me 🤦‍♀️
Then next up this afternoon, new boy Bart flicked the rope over the post to let himself out 🙈
I think the both of them were off to find themselves a valentines date 🤣
I wonder what else the weekend may hold 😬

It's been a busy month for the start of 2025
Here are some pictures of my fluffy customers 😍
I can't believe we are into February tomorrow. Another busy month ahead 💪🏻🐴🐶🐱
The nights are starting to get brighter and we can finally start to get back to work with our horses 🥰

🥶🥶-10 my car was reading this morning at the horses... anyone else feel like they needed an ice pick to muck out this morning and break the ice? 😫❄️

Price update for 2025

With the cost of everything going up each year I am having to make a change to my charges this year.

My new charge will be £15 per visit so if I'm going to your horse twice a day this would be £30 a day.
This charge includes:
Daily check of horse
Feeding (hard feed)
Giving hay/refilling haynets
Mucking out
Water checks/refilling
Standing in for vet/farrier visits (when needed)

I hope you can all understand my reasoning for this but with the cost of my insurance/fuel/wear and tear of my car I need to put my prices up.

Been abit quiet on here after loosing my special boy 💔

Although having to look after all these guys has helped me through 🥰

The Mackay troops all behaved bar from an almost escapee from dinky donkey through the smallest gap ever in the gate 🤣

Amber thought she would test me out and be on the WRONG side of the fence but the fence still standing 🤦‍♀️😅

And out to Rogart at new clients Zara and Makka - Jack was on supervisor duties again to make sure I was doing things right 🤣

Another busy couple weeks ahead 💪🏻

Another busy week to be had 🐴

I had Kelpie at the start of the week where he had another lovely fruit cocktail for his breakfast 🤣 Jack was on supervisor duties to make sure I was doing everything right 🤦‍♀️😅

Back to cooper and the shetlands from middle of the week where the 2 wee ones ganged up and escaped the field as I didn't fully shut the gate right (as I was going back in) They sure made me run after them 🤣

And also back to the Mackay troops where Benji was causing mayhem with Digger and Christe and Chester were getting fed up of selfies and just wanted their haynets 🤣🤣

This post shows the importance of why it's a MUST for checking your horses twice a day!

I arrived to the horses this morning to find my horse had got himself stuck between the fence and the shetlands shelter. This could have been a whole lot worse but so glad I got to him when I did.. I tried pushing him back to come out the space but he was that scared he would try to shoot forward and at one point tried to jump over the fence.. with quick thinking I had to snip open the fence to allow a safe recovery.. so half my day has been putting a new fence up and stoping any further damage.

Back to JJ and Whiskey the last 2 weeks

They were suprised to see me on day 1 for early breakfast then every day after that they were anxiously waiting at the gate each morning 😅

We had a farrier visit - JJ wanted to eat his cap 😅

Whiskey kept testing me after his dinner and would sneak to get JJs 🤦‍♀️

They also played some games where JJ thought about helping poo picking..
They then both teamed up to hide the wheelbarrow on me
And last of all JJ thought on my last day he would pick up the brush and sweep the floor.. good try JJ but the brush is the wrong way round 🤣🤣

Bailye is back for a couple nights while his dad heads to Mull to recce the rally before the main event. Hes already made himself at home 🥰

It's been a busy week last week.. 🐴🐶🐑🐓🦆🐥

Highlands Unbridled were back for a week beofre they set off on their coast to coast ride

Everyone behaved themselves at dinky donkeys crew

Baby chick's kept escaping the hutch when feeding and had to catch them to get them back in 😅 the sheep wanted the Ducks lettuce other wise all good at Sarah's croft 🤗

Back croft sitting for the mackay crew everyone behaved there too although the guinea pig liked to make alot of noise at night 😅

Last of all Pally got a well needed clip.. he suffers from cushings as grows a very thick coat and suffers quite abit - hopefully feeling much better for it 😃

Another busy week ahead 💪🏻

Back to the mackay crew this week. Benji kept me on my toes with charging at me and running of like nothing happened and then causing mayhem with Digger.😂
Not sure what they all thought of the 5am wake up call although I'm sure they loved getting breakfast early 🤩
