Exciting things are afoot at Muttleys Dogs! Not only do we help train your puppies, and change unwanted behaviours in your dogs. Now we can help you take care of your dogs day to day too 🐾🐶😊
Ok it’s summertime! Let’s have lots of fun with our dogs 🐕. But please be sensible. It’s not just pavement temperature. It’s air temperature! If it’s over 24C your dogs are susceptible to heat stroke. Dogs cannot regulate their heat like we do. In this country the majority of dogs who suffer fatal heat stroke in this country, do so due to exertion. Or doing too much exercise in the heat! Even if you get them inside after they’ve been out and about their temperatures can still rise. If you think they may be suffering with heat stroke cool them down quick. And keep them cool so their internal temperature begins to lower. If you are worried the heat stroke is serious take them to your vets. Best thing is to prevent it happening, don’t take your dog out in the heat 🤷🏼♀️🤨🐕
So little dog socialisation and training began last week. All of them at one time could not manage around other dogs. They are now doing so much better.. This week we are doing a woodland walk 🐾🌳🌲
Mathilda just told Dozer it’s the new smaller dog socialisation group tomorrow!! 🎉 Look how excited everyone is about it 🐾🙌🏼🐾😁
A little bit of peace and serenity muttley style 💜🐺🐾
I shall be starting a mid week small dog socialisation group.Wednesday 10.30 Classes here at the farm in the enclosed paddocks and walks out and about once the dogs are used to one another. It is for small dogs who need socialising and to learn manners around other dogs. It is also for people who feel they need some confidence learning to manage their dog around other dogs. All the small dogs (apart from the black daschund who’s always been amazing but just likes group walks 😻) in the pictures struggled with being around other dogs. With help and understanding this is a problem that can be fixed or managed. If you feel you would rather have a 1:1 get in touch 🐾
Can I show you something funny?? Well it was for Mathilda and I. Jacob not so much 🤔😂😂🤣🌊🌊💦
#2 Things spaniels are very bad at! SHARING!!when you are feeding multiple dogs treats, make them sit first and then say their names. This will help prevent them from falling out over food.
#1. Two things spaniels are very bad at!! PULLING! Here is Dolly smashing the loose lead walking. Heeling takes practice and consistency! Don’t give up 🐶🐾
Look at the recall on this puppy! And she’s only in the beginners group! This is what you get when you put the work in 💪🏽🐶🐾💜
PUPPY GROUPS 💜 So these gorgeous fluff bubbas are graduating this weekend! 🐾🎓🐶. Lots of hard work been put in and they also had an extra week to practice, as I had to go up to Yorkshire 😉. They are a great group and they will all hopefully moving up to intermediates. If you want to join these guys and get your puppy learning the basics whilst having lots of fun the next six sessions begin 1/6/24 I have a couple of spaces left. But if demand is high I will make an extra group as puppy socialisation is the most important thing you can do, along with feeding correctly in the early months! Intermediate group for older pups also start on the 1st. For more information DM, email [email protected] or call 07786818889. And don’t forget we are also able to help 1:1 with dogs of all ages, whether it’s training or behaviour changes . We help you enjoy your furry friends and understand them better 💜🐾
These gorgeous fluffy portraits were taken by Ace Creative Company it’s run by a young man who is just starting out. Like and share 🙏🏼. And for all Muttleys Mutts he is very shortly going to be giving you the chance to win a photo shoot for your furbaby 💜🐾. If you can’t wait that long and are looking to get a portrait done of your furry friend or maybe have one done as a gift for someone. Get in touch with Alex mentioning Muttleys Dogs School. And please support new local businesses like and share. It’s the only way we can help inform others 🐾😊

When your siblings won’t let you in the play house 😫
Do you remember Dusty. Didn’t like cars much 🤔🚙. Dusty has only been with he’s new/only family a month. He is 4 years old and has spent all of that time until now in kennels, 2 of those years in kennels with dozens and dozens of other dogs, in such a neglected condition, his paws were raw from standing in urine and fecal matter. When the rspca and police raided the kennels they found Dusty in a bin. He was then held in rescue kennels until a criminal trial was completed and prosecutions done. When he could then be put up for adoption. He had a brief dalliance with a homelife but those people didn’t quite fit. So back to kennels and all Dusty had known. Until now. This dog is incredible. He was soon house trained, he’s learnt to walk on a lead, he is trying very hard not to over react due to excitement on a lead. He learns quickly. Retrieves a ball and now after just a short time is recalling on walks. Well done Jorden for all the hard work you’ve put in. I cab give you the tools to start the job, but only through hard work and practice does the job get done! Crikey I wish I could whistle like that! Good Job Jorden and Dusty bin 🎉🥇🐶🙌🏼
Puppy groups started again! Beginners, intermediates, advanced and socials. Lots of learning and lots of fun! 🐶🐾
