πΎ Psst....hey! We're back! For a limited time only, Daytime Paws is back in action! The eternal saga of my post brexit paperwork continues, which means walkies and pet visits will be available for a minimum of 3 weeks, and I will continue to update you when I know more! I cannot wait to see and squeeze all my pals again and have a few more adventures en Ecosse!

π¨π΅ Bonjour! A picture postcard from France! This is Agat, short for Agatha, the goat. I hiked a full afternoon to reach the summit of a mountain, only to bump into somebody walking their pet goat on a lead. Is it just me, or is this highly suspicious? Not the pet goat, she had a great day, it was her first hike and she had travelled in a car to get there. What I find suspicious is that this kind of thing happens to me. Regularly. π€ π¨π΅

π¨π΅ Daytime Paws en vacances en France! π¨π΅
πΆπ₯²πΎ As most of you now know, this week is my last "official" week of walkies* with Daytime Paws for a while. I will be joining Mr G in France while he finishes his chocolatier studies and taking some much needed time to rest, brush up on my French and hopefully acquainte myself with some new fluffy friends! Despite bawling my way around various customers houses in recent weeks, I am very excited for this new adventure, and as someone correctly pointed out, there's worse things to cry over then having to live in the South of France for a while! π€£π
The duration of my adventure is still a little unknown as my visa is still pending approval, and so I could be back in just a few short months. So I will save all my soppy, emotional goodbyes and simply reiterate my enormous gratitude to my loyal customers who have just been the best a dog walker and pet sitter could ask for. Your support, humour and friendship have been so special to me. Your pets are the bestest, silliest and most loving animals a girl could hope to connect with and they all have such a special place in my heart. I will miss them all so dearly while i am away. Oh dear, I got a bit soppy after all!

π¦π¦ This morning, Alba and I watched in amazement while two birds wrestled and fought each other on the pavement right in front of us. Alba, who would normally chase anything with wings, floppy ears, or squeaky sounds, could not believe her eyes and stood open mouthed and dumbstruck. We stood a foot away while the birds became a cartoon ball, a tangled blur of wings and feet. Suddenly, one pinned the other to the ground, where it lay motionless. "He's gained the advantage" I thought, "she's done for." "STOP THAT!" I said out loud, at which the birds flew away, angrily screeching what I assume were avian profanities.
"That was weird" I said to Alba as we continued walking. After a curious Google search I discovered that I was, in fact, not a life saver and animal-ally-extraordinaire- but a prude! Still...get a room! π¦π¦

πΎπΆ OK it's only been about 3 months since I promised to take you all down Daytime Paws's memory lane, so here we are! π Wowee it's been just a little bit busy at the fluffy headquarters recently but I am now rolling up my sleeves and delving into the archives to share some of our adventures over the years. πΎβ¨οΈ It's been a few weeks now since our very own pocket rocket, the mad raj roaster Cooper, set his sights on chasing Nessie up North and left us to fend for ourselves! Who will walk Angus for me now? Who will steal sticks off Harris? Who will bark at Voan while she sings to him? Who will pull my arm out my socket? Who will I face time after the vet drugs him up? The echoes of my voice calling his name are still reverberating around the laigh Hills but there is no black boomerang pelting back to me! Cooper we love you so much and we all miss you but hope you're having the best fun ever chasing things and making waves up North! πππΆππΎπ¦
βοΈβοΈ Resharing my top tips from last year! This week so far we have been minimising walkie time, sticking close to the riverside and concentrating on gentle water play over mad zooms, hanging out in the shade and wearing our cooling bandanas! Remember if you think your dog can't cope in the heat please let me know and we can cancel walkies or arrange a gentle home visit. Better to be safe than sorry! βοΈπΆπ
βοΈπΆππ¦ Highly recommend wading through a rotting deer carcass stuck in the river as a means of cooling down in this hot weather. 10/10 π€£π€£ As an added bonus once you are drying off in the humidity you will smell FRESH! π¦ππΆβοΈ

πΎπ I'm back on the road, bebe! I quite enjoyed the physical challenge of this week and getting the ole fitbit charged up to see I was clocking almost 40,000 steps daily! But boy was I glad to see the blue beauty today and looking forward to normality resuming as of tomorrow with walks, schedules and just the usual leg aches! Time to find out what my regular step count is... π€

πΎπΏ Oh, my heart! I love this boy so much! Every walk without fail, Monty will find a tennis ball that isn't his. One time during winter, we stopped to catch our breath, he looked down, stuffed his face in the snow, and pulled out a tennis ball. It is a gift. Every day when I collect Monty he checks behind the pots outside his door, where he will retrieve a ball from his previous walk, and I will hear him squashing it as we drive around for doggy collections. Yesterday, he brought a red ball, today it was a turquoise ball. He carries them for the entire walk and leaves them by his door again when we get back. We were almost finished our walk today when I turned around in the woods and ended myself laughing at the sight of Monty bursting through the ferns with an American football in his mouth. What a gift! What a dog! What a joy to walk. β€πΎπΏ I love all your dogs so much, they bring me such happiness!
