I have had hounds all my life, though at the time when I bought my first Porcelaine, I was told - for the first time - that Hounds have no recall, Hounds cannot be trusted etc. This was total surprise to me as I have never had any problems either before acquiring my first Porcelaine … nor since!
I continue to hear this story as some new and prospective owners do contact us asking for help and advice having being told so, when it simply isn’t the case. All is a matter of a proper training.
Here is a perfect example... these two boys are working dogs - they will not chase the hare without the signal given by their owner.
