Happy Halloween 🎃 On this spooky day, we'd like to introduce... MONSTER! 😱

But don't be afraid, he's actually a very gentle, sweet boy who won his cat sitter Sophy over during the first visit!

Monster is a delightful black cat who makes his presence known around the house by the very distinctive sound his paws make whilst he walks about. He's a very small cat, but that doesn't stop him from establishing dominance in the house 😸 He favourite things are chicken, cat milk and enjoying the fresh outdoor air at any opportunity he can get.

National Black Cat Appreciation Day is here! 🖤❤

In 2011, the Cats Protection created this special day to help celebrate our house panthers. At the time, they found that black and black/white cats took on average 7 days longer to find a home than other cats.

At Cat Sitters of Knutsford we adore black cats and we celebrate them today 🎉 A special shout-out to a few of our cat customers including Beatrix, Ted, Lulu and Monster who grace us with their panther like appearances.

Meet Jango, an incredible character who we adore 😻

Jango has a little head tilt which was caused by a burst eardrum when he was younger - but that doesn't stop him! He's an extremely vivid character who loves to chat with his cat sitter Sophy. He'll tell you when he's hungry, when it's time to go outside and when it's time to give him a brush 😸

Another thing about Jango, is that he loves his family very deeply - on the first few visits he'll put himself in places where they would normally be. He also has a little sulk before we can convince him he's not been forgotten and we're in touch with his parents every day! After he realises that, the demands begin 😹

As sweet as the fruit, say hello to Raspberry! 💜

Raspberry is a gorgeous, gentle cat who needed a little minute to get to know her cat sitter.

She recently moved house and was settled in well, however a new person coming into her home was a little scary, so she decided to hide for the first couple of days.

That was until she realised her cat sitter, Sophy, was her friend, and decided to be brave and come down the stairs. As soon as she did this, she stuck by Sophy's side for the rest of their time together! Raspberry was so loving, and wouldn't stop purring throughout the visits. She had lots of tickles and even gave her sitter some head bumps ❤

It's great to see a cat come out of their shell and feel comfortable around us. We can't wait to see her again soon! 😸

What a month for in Knutsford 😸

With the Summer holiday's coming to an end, we thought we'd take a look back at how many visits our team completed in August. We did...

So that's 138 clean bowls, fresh food given, litter tray scoops, mice caught and of course kisses and cuddles ❤

Meet Megan the tabby! 😸

Megan is a shy, very sweet girl who was initially nervous when her family went away and spent her time watching her cat sitter Sophy from afar.

🐈 As time went on, Megan could see how her brother and sisters were enjoying the love and fun from their sitter, so decided to come and explore for herself.

We finished our visits with Megan enjoying tickles and chasing her siblings about, no longer on supervision duty! We love seeing cats warm up to our sitters and feel comfortable in their home.

Some cats may take a little longer than others, but it's very rewarding when they do 💖

Tree update! 🌳

Using Ecologi, we plant trees around the world and in the UK, fund community and renewable projects.

We've now planted 32 trees, supporting the prevention of just over 2 tonnes of CO2e, which is the equivalent of 4,987 miles driven in a car 🚗

We can't wait to share our next update when our forest will have grown even more 💚

This week we're introducing Rusty! 😸

Rusty is a very sweet and gentle cat who we recently took care of in Ollerton. Although she's a quiet cat, every time our cat sitter Sophy turned around, Rusty was there!

One of the things Sophy loved about Rusty was her happy dance she would perform with her back paws - seeing reverse biscuits is adorable! 🐾
