Due to A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd’s continued growth and rapidly expanding fleet, the team are now recruiting additional LGV C+E tramper drivers with vacancies available nationwide.

The role is full-time, working away from home all week - Monday to Friday - with the occasional requirement for working on a Saturday morning too.

Requirements:
-Full UK driving licence with LGV C+E
-Maximum of 6 penalty points
-Valid DCPC qualification card
-Valid digital tachograph driver card
-Experience of bulk haulage preferred although not essential

*Please note our trailer gantry and fall arrest systems have a 22 stone (140kg) max weight limit.

Due to expansion of our roundwood timber transport operation, we are now recruiting additional experienced LGV (C+E) Timber Drivers to join our teams in Bo’ness & Grangemouth, Scotland.

The role will involve working away from home Monday to Friday with the occasional requirement for a Saturday morning too. Candidates must have previous experience of hauling roundwood timber and off-road forestry driving. Minimum 12 months C+E driving experience also required.

Apprentices in Action! Last week, our Machine Operative apprentices, Joe Bousfield from our Clifton depot and Jack Raine from our Lockerbie site, completed their practical Loading Shovel training as part of their apprenticeships. Over three hands-on days, they learned the essential skills needed to operate this powerful machine. They're well on their way to becoming experts!

A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products has a vacancy for an experienced Engineer to work at our Clifton site, repairing and maintaining plant.

The ideal applicant will have experience of repairing and maintaining production lines taking into account Health and Safety requirements whilst making the best use of time and resources.

Hours of work are variable but worked during dayshift, Monday to Friday inclusive. The company offers a competitive remuneration package, including a salary sacrifice pension scheme and life assurance.

Throughout December, staff members from our Clifton and Penrith Offices took part in various festive activities, including bake-offs, Christmas Jumper Days, and friendly competitions. We are thrilled to announce that together we raised an incredible total of £897 for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.

This wonderful charity is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND), inspired by the late rugby legend Doddie Weir. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported our efforts to make a difference.

Carlisle Airport, which is part of the A.W. Jenkinson group of businesses, is the site of a remarkable chapter of the story of the young Holocaust survivors known as The Windermere Children.

On this Holocaust Memorial Day, we reflect on the 80th anniversary of an important moment in history, the liberation and eventual shutdown of Auschwitz-Birkenau, one of the largest and most notorious concentration camps of the Holocaust. In the August of 1945, these young Holocaust survivors, later known as 'The Windermere Children,' arrived at Carlisle Airport seeking refuge and the chance to rebuild their shattered lives. After enduring unimaginable suffering during the Holocaust, they found safety and hope in the Lake District, where they began to heal and create new futures. Carlisle Airport played a vital role in welcoming these children, serving as the first step on their journey to a brighter future. As we commemorate this milestone, we honour their resilience and remember those who were lost during this tragic period. Thanks to Trevor Airey (Lake District Holocaust Project) for allowing us to share this moving photo.
