Hey there, I’m Sprout! I’m a super sweet, fun-loving kitty who’s all about snuggles, snacks, and, of course, catnip zoomies! I’m a confident little adventurer, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home where I can shine and show off all my love. 😻

I’m a total people person! I love hanging out with my humans, but I’m also a fan of doing my own thing. I’m not too fond of other cats (I’m more of a solo superstar), so I’d prefer to be the only feline in the house. I’m a little on the fence about dogs, but I’m totally up for having some kiddos around! Someone to play with me would be awesome because I’ve got so much energy to share.

🐾 Puppy Nap Time: Why Sleep Is So Important 🐾

Puppies aren’t just adorable when they’re asleep—they need all those snoozes to grow up healthy and happy! 😴 Here's why those little power naps are so crucial:

✨ Growing Time:
Puppies grow like weeds in their early months, and sleep is when much of that magic happens. Their bodies release growth hormones while they snooze, helping build strong bones and muscles.
✨ Brain Development:
All that playtime, training, and exploring? It’s a lot to take in! Puppies process and store new information during sleep, which helps them learn faster and adapt to their surroundings.
✨ Boosting Immunity:
Rest is essential for a puppy’s immune system to develop properly. A well-rested pup is better equipped to fight off illnesses and stay healthy.

💤 How Much Sleep Do Puppies Need?

Puppies can sleep up to 18–20 hours a day! Don’t worry if they seem to be napping more than running around—it’s perfectly normal. As they grow, they’ll need less sleep but still benefit from regular rest.

Hello, I’m Toby, a charming 9-year-old Shih Tzu on the lookout for a peaceful, loving home where I can enjoy my golden years. I may be a bit mature, but I still love a nice stroll around the neighborhood to stretch my little legs. 🐾

I’m hoping to find a calm, adult-only household where I can be the only pet. I’m not a fan of a busy, noisy environment, so I’d be happiest in a quiet home where I can relax and enjoy the slower pace of life. This Christmas, we are thinking of animals like Elsie (was Ruffle), who have been given a second chance, thanks to people like you.

Elsie's story is one of hope, and she will be spending this Christmas with an absolutely wonderful family, but it could have been so different. Elsie was found as a stray, lost and alone, her coat in a terrible condition, she would have been so uncomfortable. We dread to think what could have happened to this precious soul had she not found her way to us.

Because of your support, Rain Rescue was able to give Elsie the chance to have a
warm bed, a full belly, and the love and care she so desperately needed. She had an emergency haircut, hence the range of stylish jumpers she wore to keep her warm! She has since been adopted by her perfect family and is now safe, healthy, and surrounded by people who care for her.

This Christmas, Elsie will experience what it feels like to be loved—something she might have never known without your support.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be the heart of our fundraising efforts, supporting volunteers and fundraisers, planning exciting community events like stalls and bucket collections, and building lasting relationships to strengthen support for Rain Rescue. You’ll also have the chance to create fresh and fun fundraising ideas that will keep things exciting!

We’re seeking someone with experience in fundraising or a related role (event planning experience is a plus!). If you’re organised, creative, and passionate about animal welfare, we’d love to hear from you! 😻

Hi there, I’m Betsie! I’m a 4-year-old Huntaway cross with a gentle heart and a bit of a sensitive side. Life in the kennel isn’t for me—I long to be out there, experiencing the world with a family of my own.

When I meet new people, I can be a little nervous. I’m just not sure at first, but once I get to know you, I’ll show you my playful and affectionate side. I promise I’m a big softie once I feel comfortable! 🥰

I absolutely adore toys—especially my ball and rope toys. They bring out the best in me and I could play with them all day long. I’m looking for a quiet home where I can feel safe and secure, and slowly start to come out of my shell.

🐾 Belle's Puppies 🐾

Meet our eight adorable Lurcher cross pups – five boys and three girls – all searching for their forever families! These playful bundles of joy are brimming with energy and love. With the right introductions, they could happily live with dogs, cats, and children. They just need a patient family who can guide them through their first steps.

Mum Belle is a beautiful Lurcher, but as she came to us as a pregnant stray, we’re unsure of the breed of their dad.

We’re looking for families who have the patience to train us into sweet, well-rounded adults. Each of us would love our very own secure garden to play in. As young pups, we’re still exploring the world with our mouths and will be starting toilet training from scratch, so adopters should be prepared for the usual puppy challenges. Initially, we’ll need families who are home most of the time to help us settle in and adjust to our new surroundings.

If you’re ready to offer one of us a loving home, simply fill out our application form, and a member of our team will guide you through the next steps.

Hi, I’m Milky, and this is my third time asking for a family to call my own. I try so hard to be a good boy, to win hearts with my love and affection!

I adore people and crave attention. I’ll even climb onto your shoulders to give you little headbutts and a gentle groom, my way of saying “I love you.” All I want is someone who won’t let me down, who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them.

I’d be happiest as your only pet (more cuddles for me!) and would love a home with kids to play with. Once I’m settled, I’d enjoy a safe outdoor space to explore, but more than anything, I just want someone to finally give me the forever I’ve been waiting for.

Introducing Glinda, Elphaba, Nessa, Oz, Munchkin, and Fiyero—six precious Collie crosses who need your help this Christmas. These little ones came to us as an unwanted litter, and though we are relieved they’re now safe with us, their journey is just beginning.

At just 7 weeks old, these pups should be bounding around, full of energy, joy, and curiosity about the world. Sadly, they are far from that. Instead, they are weak, lethargic, and struggling. Every rib is visible on their fragile bodies, and their bloated tummies are a sign of a severe worm infestation that’s left them with upset stomachs and little energy to even move. It’s heartbreaking to see them this way, and it stretches our resources to the limit, especially with Christmas approaching.

As we care for these six puppies, we are also supporting many other vulnerable animals—puppies, kittens, and adults—all of whom need our help. With the holiday season upon us, resources are stretched thin. We already face financial pressures with the increased demand for care, but how could we turn away these pups when they are in desperate need of our help? We are committed to providing them with the veterinary care, nourishment, warmth, and love they need to survive and thrive. They deserve a chance—a chance to grow, to play, to run, and to live a life full of love and care. But that chance comes with a significant cost, but we can’t do it without your support.

We are asking for a small but powerful donation of just £5, the cost of a Christmas dinner. This donation will go directly towards providing the essential care these pups need. Your donation, no matter how small, will make an incredible difference in their recovery. It will give them the chance to know love, to feel safe, and to eventually grow into the healthy, happy dogs they deserve to be.

🐾 A New Chapter for Joe, Topsie and Domino 🐾 We have an update to share with all our wonderful supporters. Joe, Topsie, and Domino — three semi-feral cats who have been part of Rain Rescue's journey — have all found new homes! 🧡 For 12-13 years, these three cats lived in the garden of a kind lady who sadly passed away, leaving them without anyone to care for or feed them long-term. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide them with the care and safety they needed while waiting for a new home. We’re thrilled to let you know that Joe and Topsie have been rehomed together, and Domino has also found a new home. All three are now living on farms, where they’re settling into life at the stables — a peaceful, open space where they can roam freely and live the life they deserve. They'll finally be able to enjoy their golden years in a tranquil environment. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Your support truly makes a difference for animals like Joe, Topsie, and Domino. 🧡

We’ve placed a camera in with her to carefully monitor her without causing any stress or disturbance. Rest assured, we are right here by her side, ready to step in at any moment if Belle or the puppies need extra support.Our goal is to keep the environment as peaceful and natural as possible for her, but she’s never out of sight or out of mind.
