Before You Buy a Puppy – Please Read Carefully
Bringing a puppy into your life can be one of the most joyful and rewarding experiences—but it comes with serious, lifelong responsibility.
Even when your puppy comes from a reputable, ethical breeder—who has invested time and love into raising well-socialized, confident, and healthy pups—the real work begins the moment your new companion comes home. It is now your job to continue their development with patience, consistency, and calm leadership (never aggression).
Adjustment Takes Time
The transition from the breeder’s home to yours is often overwhelming for a young puppy. Expect toileting accidents, night time crying (especially if your puppy is not sleeping close to you), and general stress. This is normal, but it requires understanding and gentle care on your part.
Ongoing Support & Respectful Boundaries
We offer lifetime support for all of our puppies—but we kindly ask that you respect our boundaries and time. Please do not text or call outside of reasonable hours unless it is a genuine emergency.
If we’ve accepted you as a buyer, it's because you demonstrated a thoughtful commitment to providing a loving home. But if you’re already feeling uncertain or overwhelmed, please pause and reconsider—this may not be the right time for you.
A Puppy Is Not:
An emotional fix
A fashion accessory
A social media prop
A Puppy Is:
A living, feeling creature who needs love, structure, and time
A full-time responsibility and a lifelong family member
A little one who will cry, chew, make messes, and test your patience
What You Need to Know (And Respect):
Puppies should not be left alone for long during the early weeks.
They need a safe and secure puppy pen (not just a crate).
Do not contact us if:
You haven’t fully read the listing (including photos and details).
You’re casually messaging late at night or under the influence.
You’re asking for a puppy you cannot afford.
You’re treating this as an impulse purchase.
Rehoming a puppy after purchase is extremely traumatic for the animal and entirely avoidable. If you aren’t honest about your ability to care for a puppy from the start, please do not proceed.
On Health, Vaccines & Care:
Our puppies leave us fully wormed and with immaculate faeces. However, moving to a new home can cause mild stomach upset for a couple of days, that will soon settle.
If digestive issues occur weeks after going home, it’s typically not a breeder issue. Be cautious with puddles, dirty water, slugs, and any foreign matter your puppy might ingest. Like babies, puppies explore everything with their mouths—it’s your job to protect them.
Regarding vaccinations: We do not administer jabs before 14 weeks, and we educate owners about avoiding Lepto4. If you choose differently, please know it is your decision, your responsibility— consult your vet with any post jabs concerns, or anything else given/administered to the pup by the vets. This was not our decision but yours. We are Holistic breeders so we are very cautious of anything given to our pups.
To Our Amazing Clients
We are endlessly grateful for our thoughtful, responsible puppy families—the ones who do their research, follow guidance, and treat us with the same respect we offer them. It is because of you that we continue doing what we love.
Thank you for being part of the solution.
With gratitude xx
