Most of what’s taught out there? It’s often too general, too robotic, and sadly, it misses the heart of what your puppy really needs.🙈

What If You Could Hear Your Dog's Thoughts?🧐

What if you could truly hear your dog's thoughts?

I have to admit, people often think that dogs don’t really think. That they don’t have deep feelings, or that they don’t understand what’s happening around them.

They treat them like they’re “just dogs.” But have you ever stopped to wonder what your dog might be thinking about the things you do? Have you ever imagined what he would say if someone could say it aloud to you?

How would that make you feel?
How would you react?
Would you be ready to hear it?

I’ve been working as an energy healer for nearly two years now. In that time, I’ve connected with over 100 dogs, and every single one of them had something to say. Their stories? Some were heartwarming. Some heartbreaking. Rescue dogs, abused dogs, abandoned souls… but also many from loving, happy homes.

And oh my goodness—their conversation? Full of opinions and stories!
Lots of moaning, cheeky complaints, and little protests.
“I’m glad you told her that—she never listens.”
“She doesn’t understand me.”
“I’ll just do it my way.”
" How could she do it to me"
"I don't like myself"

These are real messages I’ve received. Some I share with their owners, and others stay private as they ask me. I respect it because every dog has its own voice, its own privacy, and a GOOD explanation.
Some of them have an Italian accent, some are serious, and others are depressed. 😞

And this is what I know for sure:
Your dog sees the world differently than you do.🤯
Their understanding, their opinions, their emotions—it’s all uniquely theirs.🥰

Even something as deep as grief feels different for a dog. We see it as a loss.
They feel it as confusion, as waiting, as aching silence.
I’ve worked with dogs who lost their humans… and the message of each dog was different:
“Where did they go?”
“I’m waiting for them.”
“I don’t understand why they left me.”

That’s the kind of truth I gently share with owners—because once you hear it, once you feel it, you start seeing everything differently. And in that moment, something magical happens. The bond deepens.🥰
You begin to connect from the heart, not just with your eyes (he is sooo cute), but soul to soul.

Protection doesn’t teach.
Caring too much doesn’t teach.

In fact… it can disable.😞

I know this might sound harsh at first. But let’s look at it from the dog’s point of view. When we constantly say, “You’re small, I’ll do it for you,” we take away their greatest chance to learn. Puppies aren’t stupid. They’re learning machines. They learn by doing, by trying, by exploring.🤓

When we do everything for them—walk here, don’t sniff that, stay on my lap, don’t move—we’re not raising a confident dog. We’re raising a confused one. A reactive one. A dog who freezes or lunges or hides because they haven’t had the chance to build confidence through their own experiences.

And here’s something that needs to be said:

Protection at home doesn’t teach the rules of the home.
A crate isn’t the definition of safety.
A pen isn’t the definition of boundaries.

We often create a life for the dog that isn’t even realistic—just because we want to care deeply. But true care comes with teaching. With guidance. With saying, “This is our space, and here’s how we live together.”🥰

A dog’s bed should be a safe place—not a crate, not a punishment, not a locked space. Just a place where they know, “When I rest, I’m safe. I won’t be stroked. I won’t be called. I won’t be disturbed.”😇

And this one hits deep:
Dogs are sensitive to change.
So if you build a world that isn’t true to your everyday life—if your dog’s entire world is gated, isolated, and micromanaged—what happens when real life begins?😟
Shock. Overwhelm. Fear.😟😟😟

Ask yourself this instead:
👉“How does my life look now?”
👉“How do I really want to live with my dog?”
And then… build that.

Because you’re not here to protect every moment.
You’re here to grow with them.
Let them fall, guide them back, trust them enough to try. Build the confidence 💪

🥰This way, they learn.
🥰This way, they shine.
And guess what? You grow too. Together.🫶

Here’s an easy to make homemade ear cleaner recipe to get you started:

Your pet’s L-shaped ear canals make it hard for debris to exit—and easy for bacteria and fungi to grow, especially if the ears are moist—but this cleaner can help. Please don’t use any narrow pointy tools to clean the inner ear, however, as they can rupture the eardrum. Also be aware that scratching, rubbing, redness, tilting the head in one direction, discharge, or odor can be signs of inflammation or a serious infection. Take your pet to the veterinarian if you notice any of these behaviors.

Ingredients:

1⁄3 cup witch hazel
3 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar🍏
1 tablespoon colloidal silver💧

(Note: blending of acetic acid (vinegar) with hydrogen peroxide creates a small amount of peracetic acid – a compound known for its powerful antimicrobial properties but MUST be diluted. That’s why this formula includes witch hazel, to ensure proper dilution for safe topical use.

Directions:

1. Thoroughly mix ingredients in a bowl.🥣
2. Pour over cotton rounds in a clean, dry container with a tight lid. Allow the liquid to fully saturate all the rounds.
3. Use as many rounds as needed to clean ears.
4. Use a dry cotton round when done to dry ear canal.
5. Store in a cool, dry place and make a fresh batch every week.🫙

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR DOG-WALKERS

It’s that time of year when wildfowl are nesting in and around the Commons' ponds and we'd like to remind all dog walkers to keep their charges out of the water to help protect the wildlife that depends on these fragile habitats.

If your dog needs a drink or a quick cool-down, they can do so on a lead at the edge of the pond – but no further please.

🐕‍🦺 At Queensmere, dogs must also be on a lead in a large area around the pond – please keep an eye out for the signs.
