I have been so busy, sorry for the quiet.

As many will know I have been working on getting the Tonkinese variety standardised for some time now.

Very pleased they have there provisional standard. It’s the first time I have ever written a standard for a rat and I feel very proud that they now have there standards.

It’s been a team effort between myself, Rainmaker Rattery - Stud and Curio rats.

I have been trying for litters for a little while but they don’t love going into season over winter.

Especially now they have a standard Tonkinese will be prioritised for homes who show ❤️

🎄Did you know Ratty Natty started with miniature hats? I still do the odd one on request. I tried to get in the festive mood with Vespasian in my Christmas Tree hat earlier..not sure he was quite impressed..🎄

Had a wonderful day at Scawsby rat show today. Great company and lots of lovely rats !

As always I’m so proud of my rats.

Galactic Carina the little super star that she is came 3rd best pet and collected her 7th and 8th pet stars.

She also came best shaded, Best rare variety and 4th supreme challenge and gathered another 3 Varieties stars bringing her to a total of 7.

I’m so proud of her, she’s such an amazing rat in every way. I have been smitten from her being tiny and she just continues to shine.

Little man Galactic Canis Minor also placed 4th best pet bringing him to 5 stars and a silver pet championship, he also came best rex. (And a special for best nest as being displayed in these photos)

For those curious about the stars and what they mean. If your a member of the National fancy rat society and go to shows (regardless of if your a breeder or just a pet home) your rats can collect stars when they get shown, some shows earn more stars then others, it they get enough stars they can win a championship. So it’s just an extra achievement to work towards for fun.

I don’t get to many shows and I breed varieties with fairly short show lives so I don’t often get championships making them all the more special 💖

2 good and exciting pieces of rat news 🐀

1. On Tuesday we welcomed a litter of 14 Galactic babies 💖 They are all marten, a mixture of eye colour and expect some dumblings as well. Not open for application yet. And the first of a few planned litters so keep your eyes peeled.

2. 14ct gold rat Jewellery. Some of you may be aware I am also a professional body piercer.

I have been working with the luxury jewellery brand junipurrjewelry to design this amazing little rat. Available in white, yellow and rose gold.

A small initial (first in the world) delivery of these babies arrive tomorrow so can be posted next week these are just white and yellow gold for now and I have 2 of each good colour available.

Before I list them on my piercing website I wanted to offer them to by lovely rat community.

They will retail for £150 each for me with a labret for an additional £10 if needed.

These rats can live alone or in a group and will not require any vet bills and have a lifetime guarantee life expectancy.

Please message me if you want to secure one of these initial run. I can and will order more of them if these all get snapped up but may be a week before or two before being shipped.

I can also bring these to shows and although can’t pierce people at shows I’m happy to bring basic supplies for jewellery fittings.

*** I have been told these lovely lady’s have found there new home ***

I am helping to try and find a home urgently for 5 lovely lady rats.

Their owner can no longer keep them due to personal circumstances and just wants to make sure they go to a great new home.

They come with there cage which I’m told is a liberata and all of there things. Perfect for someone looking to get there first rats who might need a great cage and all.

The rats are from pet shop origins and check the photos for a description and names from their owner.

These rats aren’t with me currently but if it helps people further away I can help get the rats (not the cage) to the Scawsby rat show in 2 weeks and may be able to speak to other breeders to rat train if that helps anyone 🙂

This pretty lady Galactic Carina did me very proud. I’m at the London championship show this weekend. Pet day today we got best breeder owner buck, best breeder owned doe and reserve best pet.

This little angel is now a Pet Champion at her second ever show.

Very proud. Varieties day tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Had a wonderful day at the summer NFRS cup show. My wonderful rats have killed it in pets once again.

Including father and son both placing in breeder owned buck and a 10 week old doe also winning breeder owned doe. Her mum is also a best breeder owned doe winner and silver variety champ 🥰

I am aware I have lots of outstanding messages and e-mails re-kittens. I still have 4 bucks left to allocate so if you have e-mailed me you haven’t been ignored I just haven’t had chance to actually sort it all out and reply to you.

I have been poorly and also been sooooo busy, I work 6 days a week and Sundays I have had plans, pre arranged kitten collections or had to clean out rats!! 😅

I should hopefully have some time tomorrow to get back to people 🙂 sorry again!!

Applications are now open for Galactic babies.

There are both does and bucks, there are babies from both my lines. I don’t allow people to pick individual colours or rats but happy to request a certain line as they do have some differences in personality. I’m happy if you want a mixed pair/trio as well.

Tonk line - there is various shades of Tonkinese and one Siamese doe all top eared. The Tonks tend to be “rat rats” they aren’t you lay down on the sofa rats, they are active and engaging and strong minded. Lots of fun and very sweet but can be opinionated. Priority given to NFRS show homes.

Marten line - pink eyed marten, black eyed Silver agouti, black and agouti available some rex martens and some dumbos.
These are very very sweet rats, they do very well in the pet class at shows and are usually active and engaging but easily handleable and turn to goo when picked up. Best fit as pets in a family with children.

4 lovely boys still looking for homes.

The girlies have had interest but these boys have not.

Please see previous post for full details on them. They are now with me in Sheffield and are ready to be collected.

I can say since they have been in my care they are really wonderful boys. I may keep a pair of them as I have fallen in love 🤫

They are very well natured, I have introduced them to a group of older boys here with no issues which really speaks volumes for their well balanced nature. Adult bucks can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

They come racing to the door to see me for scratches and cuddles whenever I go and visit them. They will be really amazing member to the family for any buck keeping household. And curly boys are always fun.

I would love to help get all these wonderful rats in their forever homes as soon as possible, as much as I really enjoy their company.

Hey guys. Sorry it you haven’t had replies from me. I have been out the country for a week on holiday in Austria and Slovakia including being at a music festival
For 5 days of that so I haven’t had chance to reply or organise before I disappeared.

I’m back home now and will get back to everyone.

The rats are now in Sheffield and the lovely Lilly was able to get them while I was away so can actually make some more concrete plans :)

Again I’m sorry for going AWOL you aren’t being ignored I promise. I just need today to try and get my brain back together :) it’s not been much of a relaxing break. I need a holiday to recover from my holiday now.

Thank you so much to the wonderful Adele and glamorous assistant The Small Pet Vet - Where the Small Things Matter for visiting Casa Galactic today to help my poor girl Galactic Apricot Jam and remove a nasty lump.

If your a client of mine or keep small furies anywhere in the midlands region and haven’t already you should certainly check Adele out 🥰

So glad Apricot is safe and happy and has actually gone on holiday with Adele as I’m going on holiday next week 🙈

Adult rats available. Due to personal circumstances a friend is having to re-home their rats ASAP.

They are currently with there owner based in Colchester Essex but transport can be arranged. I can have some here to be collected from Sheffield as well.

They were all bred by Finn (Scallywag rattery) and are from NFRS foundations apart from some who gave the breeders permission to be pet homed.

Group 1 Trio of does, Gina- 10 months old, agouti Essex Rhea- almost 12 months old, agouti Rex Daphne- almost 12 months old, agouti

Group 3 Pair of bucks Judas- 1 year 5 months old, cinnamon Vinnie- 1 year 5 months old, cinnamon Rex

Group 4 Pair of bucks Boris- 1 year 5 months old, agouti (Previous urine infection, and abscess both of which were treated and resolved) Bear- 1 year 5 months old, cinnamon Rex

They are currently in a boys group and a girls group, but this is how Finn would like to split them up, unless someone wahts to take a bigger group.

How my homing process works.

Firstly, I’m very honoured you would like some Galactic Kittens to join your rat family 🐀

Unlike many other breeders I DO NOT operate a waiting list and don’t hold onto your details for future litters.

For transparency’s sake I have ADHD, Dyslexia and have 2 jobs so safe to say organisational skills and free time are luxury’s I don’t sadly have much of 😅 so please be patient with my terrible response rate. I have tried a few different things over the years and this is what works the best for me.

When I have kittens born I try and post about them
Being born and maybe some kitten updates. I will then usually when the kittens are 5/6 weeks old open applications for that round of kittens only. I hope this means that people can apply for rats when they are truly ready for them and reduce my admin by not chasing a list where often people aren’t ready for rats at that exact time.

I will then match the kittens to the most appropriate homes based on temperament, if they go to shows etc.

I absolutely love being able to supply amazing happy friendly kittens to amazing new homes and owners but my primary purpose of breeding is to further the species and for exhibition so I do only breed a few times a year and I’m not a pet shop.

As the time between application and picking up rats is fairly short I do need my homes to have a cage and researched husbandry beforehand and have everything set up and ready to go. I am always happy to help new owners at any time select cages and food etc 🌸

When applications are open I will ask for an e-Mail with the following info. So having this info ready would be great way to prepare.

- A Photo of the cage all set up with accessories.
- Details of the food you plan to feed
- Details of the bedding you use.
- Tell me a little about you, and your experience with rats and husbandry. This could be What drew you to rats as pets, what rats do you currently own and where were they from, have yo been to any rat shows, what other pets you keep as well.
- Ask any questions you might have for me.

I don’t have form as I think they become a tick box exercise. I would rather hear from you in your own words but it’s also a bit of a test as it shows me what you feel important to add 🙂 there is no right and wrong but the more detail you provide the better 💖

Counted and sexed the Tonks 🙂 12 girls and 6 boys.

Not sure exactly what colour each are at this point. But the three Siamese are girlie pops.
