By donating and participating in our talented fundraising advocate Pet Portraits By Hercule '24 hours till sleep' from 7pm on the evening of Friday 12th July, you will be supporting two charities: #StreetVet and Turning Tides Ending Local Homelessness who focus on helping those that are experiencing #homelessness with their pet ๐
The event will start on Friday, but will move over to Colonnade House Art Gallery in Worthing from 10am - 7pm on Saturday 13th July, giving you the opportunity to pop in and say hello, whilst watching Hercule draw his rubbish pet portraits.

Debs and Bluebell have been on an incredible journey since Debs removed herself from a domestically abusive relationship and became homeless.

It's #NationalPetDay and we would like to share the story of: Freddie, a gentle-natured greyhound.
Freddie was savagely attacked by a larger dog, during a walk with his owner.
The bite that Freddie endured was on his back and resulted in immediate paralysis along with some sore skin wounds. He was thankfully rushed by the police to Wood Veterinary Group, who made him comfortable with immediate pain relief. #StreetVet volunteer Tim Sandy provided an assessment on Freddie which thankfully showed that his back wasn't broken, but he was left unable to move his back legs or urinate - which the vets helped by emptying his bladder.
There was hope that Freddie might make a recovery, but he would need time and lots of help from the StreetVet team, without it his owner would have been in the heart-breaking position of having to put Freddie to sleep.
We are happy to report that with the help of specialists, his owner's dedication, the StreetVet Gloucester teams commitment, the kindness of donors, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, laser therapy and Freddie's fighting spirit - Freddie is now able to walk (and run) by himself with fully healed skin wounds.
Here at StreetVet, we were only able to commit to Freddie's case thanks to the kindness of our supporters and donors. His story is one of everyone playing a part to achieve the best possible outcome and seeing him able to walk again was a truly magical moment for us all.

Christmas came early for our StreetVet Norwich patients this week when Mel from our Charity of the Year partner Natures Menu went to meet Lexi, Pipi, Lucky, Lady, Blue and Shadow to give them all a Christmas gift bag full of items kindly donated through our Amazon Wishlists and from Natures Menu ๐๐๐
One of the patients, Lady, had a nasty abscess a few weeks ago which the team treated, and we are pleased to say is much better now. The team also noticed that Lady has a bit of a bad front tooth and needs some dental work, which will get booked for the new year. Some very happy dogs left the outreach๐
