Happy Valentines day. I have to celebrate the other love in my life...😍 today as I celebrated last night with my husband. We went to the at the Everyman Cinema, Esher... we laughed and cried and enjoyed every moment.
Would love to see pictures of the dogs you love and have loved because we hold them in our hearts forever.

Symptoms of dental disease in our pets:

🐶🐱 Bad breath (Halitosis)
🐶🐱 Difficulty eating (although cats in particular are very resilient & will try to eat until they are in severe pain)
🐶🐱 Tartar build up
🐶🐱 Gingivitis (red or bleeding gums)
🐶🐱 Excessive drooling
🐶🐱 Swelling on a side of the mouth
🐶🐱 Wobbly teeth
🐱 Reluctant to groom / a noticeable deterioration in coat quality
🐶 Head shaking

These are just a fraction of the most common symptoms of dental disease in our dogs & cats. Dogs & cats are incredibly resilient and will often continue to eat & drink until they are too painful to do so 🤕

We always check your pets teeth & gums at routine examinations, however it’s important you also keep an eye on them at home 👀

We’ve got an exciting webinar planned all about Dental Disease by Dr Alyson Bayly & Dr Gary Campbell so keep an eye out for the link to sign up 🦷

Pet dental month.

Pet dental month.

February is Dental Health awareness month 🦷🪥

It is estimated that 1 in 8 dogs & 1 in 6 cats suffer from dental disease in the UK 🐶🐱

So what causes dental disease in our pets? As it’s not quite the same as dental disease in people:

🪥 Poor dental hygiene
👵🏼 Age
🐾 Breed of dog or cat
🍔 Diet
🤕 Trauma

These all often lead to plaque, tartar or gingivitis - which can contribute to advancing dental disease 🐾

Next week we’ll discuss the symptoms of dental disease in our furry friends 😸

The conference is suitable for handlers who want to work their dog, current working partnerships, pet gundog handlers and dog trainers.

There are 6 Seminars and 18 workshops with handler places available throughout the weekend, but hurry as the handler places are filling up fast.

The conference is also being videoed and available to purchase. For more information: https://www.dogsrdogs.co.uk/event-video-interest/

This will be a fantastic conference, a great learning experience and the chance to meet other likeminded Gundog enthusiasts and their dogs, with the two evening meals and the fun Scurry on Saturday evening, all dogs welcome to have a go at the scurry , not just working places.

I hope to see you there :)

I really enjoyed the conference when I went and learned loads.

Do you know which favourite festive treats are highly toxic or hazardous to our furry friends? ⚠️

If you can’t resist sneaking the dog some scraps from your Christmas dinner, it’s important to be mindful about what is safe for them to have, and what you should avoid sharing 🐶

And whilst there may be parts of your Christmas dinner that are safe to feed in small amounts. Just remember that a small portion for us is a lot for your pet! It's best to stick to your pet's main diet as much as possible, as a sudden change can lead to a tummy ache.

[Visual description: An infographic displaying the safe and unsafe parts of a Christmas dinner for your pets. Safe foods include: boiled carrot and parsnip, broccoli, boiled or steamed greens, carrot or swede mash, lean parts of white meat. Unsafe foods include: gravy, stuffing, anything containing garlic, onion or leek, bones, chocolate, mince pies, panettone and anything containing currants, raisins and sultanas. Foods that are safe in small amounts include: roast potatoes, bacon, sausage and cranberry.]

Who doesn't love a bit of puppy spam? Please add a picture of your puppy in the comments. How many puppy pictures can I get before Christmas?
These are my three as pups each of them contributing to my journey as a handler and as a trainer.
If only I knew what I know now with puppy number one. I still think pups are hard work, tiring and can leave you questioning yourselves.

Let me help you find the answers
● Puppy class
● Thursday 9th January for 6 weeks.
● 9.30 to 10.30
● Headley, Epsom.
Please contact me for more details.
