Friday afternoon ☀️🚀

Finishing off the week at the playground was Jazz, Darcie, Zoose, Rosie, Bonnie and a fluffy friend I haven’t met yet, Brodie.
It’s been a while since Zoose got to see some old pals in this group and was happy to whizz around with everyone, even trying his best to join in with Jazz and Rosie’s wrestling games 😆
For most of the afternoon everyone had their own solo adventures, it was still windy and because the sun was away it was
chilly! 🌪️
So we made sure to keep on the move, wondering many laps of the playground 🐾
Brodie was taking in all the new smells zooming from one side to the other while Darcie and Bonnie were never far from each other to explore together 🍃
After we stopped for a snack break Rosie and Bonnie joined me for some cuddles and it wasn’t long before Jazz wanted in on this too🥰
After Rosie and Jazz had some race and chase which then turned into some wrestles, Rosie took herself off for a lie down 🐾
Although a chilled afternoon we didn’t stop, I think this group found every smell there was to find!
Before we knew it, it was time to head back towards the van and head home.

Friday morning☀️🚀

Plenty of fun in the sun happened this morning with Mavis, Riko, Willow, Penny, Mika and Lexi.
It was still super windy this morning but it didn’t stop this lot from having a good
time🌪️
The first part of the morning was actually fairly chilled, we just wondered some laps of both fields and everyone just explored, sniffed and found all the best smells they could🍃😆
We then played some great finding games in the long grass but once Riko found the green spikey ball he had some great games running around with it!
Mavis joined in for some of the games and then went on to have some race and chase with her bestie Willow🚀❤️
Penny and Mika had some cuddles with me which then turned into some games with each other pouncing and chasing each other 😆
Lexi chased after then as they shot down the field and for a while everyone had a good run around🐾
Mavis then found the only muddy patch in the whole field and had a roll around in that… 😂
After a snack break Penny, Lexi, Mika and I walked a few laps together having Willow, Riko and Mavis whizz by a few times🍃🚀
We all then slowed things down towards the end of the morning before heading back towards the van.

Thursday afternoon 🌪️

Teddy, Bonnie, Izzy, Rosie, Reggie, Arlo and Nala all joined me at the playground this afternoon.
There was still plenty of wind blowing through everyone’s tails and ears but it just made the race and chase games that were had throughout the afternoon all the more fun!🌪️🚀
I got lots of cuddles from everyone today so we did spend quite a bit of time snuggling but Nala, Teddy and Izzy also had some fun running games while Bonnie got the zoomies and had a play with Rosie 🚀😆
Reggie and Teddy found a green spikey ball and had great fun chasing that which Arlo did manage to swoop in and pinch a few times!
Nala and Izzy also joined in for some of these games and they played with the ball back and forth for a while 😁🚀
Arlo and I also had some games together as well as one big running game with all the group getting involved 🐾
We then slowed things down for the rest of the afternoon playing some treat finding games in the long grass, which got everyone’s noses working hard before having a few laps of the playground and a couple of cuddles before we headed home.

Thursday morning 🌪️

A windy but sunny start to the morning with Flòraidh, Buddy, Archie, Buddy and Bonnie.
We all started the morning off wondering some laps of the middle field, everyone went off to had their own adventures sniffing and exploring 🍃
This carried on as we headed through to the end field before Archie, Bonnie and Buddy played some great finding games in the long grass🐾
Meanwhile Fudge was deep into the thick grass, making sure not to miss and smell and Flòraidh was hiding out trying to play with the big piece of log 😆
Once Flòraidh found a ball pit ball she realised that was a bit easier to play and chase🚀
Bonnie, Buddy and Archie had a little run around which Fudge eventually joined in with before we wondered a few more windy laps together 🌪️🍃
Flòraidh and I then had some cuddles on the platform which was so lovely, we watched the others carried on sniffing before we all had a slow walk back down the fields and had a few ‘find it’ games before home time.

Thursday afternoon 😎

Scooby, Sam, Dave, Sprocket, Luna and Blu joined me for fun at the Playground this afternoon 🚀.
It was a race to see who could get into the field first 😄. Needless to say, I was last 😅.
Once everyone was in the field, we split up to enjoy a sniff before some race and chase.
Luna, Sprocket and Dave took off at ful speed, with Sam not far behind🚀.
Blu and Scooby kept out of way and had fun exploring together in the long grass. They even found some hidden snacks to enjoy 😉🌱🍬.
After a few quiet loops of the middle field, we decided to see what we could find in the end field once we'd had a jump and snack at the platform 😊.
The group split up for a while to enjoy the quiet and the sunshine, then it was group Find It and Sit practice at the pink tyre, with name recognition games too☺️.
Dave and Luna did their best to convince Scooby that playing is fun, but he isnt quite convinced and decided he would rather sit with Sprocket and I to watch the games.
Sam and Blu were still snuffling their way round the field 😊.
We'd spent so much time playing, sniffing, exploring and lazing around that we didn't notice it was nearly time to go, so we had one last race to the platform, some posing for photos, then a sniff through the middle field and one last game of Focus before jumping in the van for a sneaky nap on the way home 😴.

Thursday morning 😎

Charlie, Oscar, Haggis, Rosie, Jazz, Riko and Brig had the sunshine at the Playground this morning ☀️.
It was a slow, quiet start as the group wandered off to spend a while sniffing in the grass and turning their noses into the wind ☺️.
There were a few short games of bouncy wrestling between Riko and Brig before they decided there were smells to find hidden around the field.
Charlie, Oscar and Haggis were tracking something interesting and they weaved their way through the long grass for a while 🌱.
Rosie was off finding the windiest spots where she could lie down and enjoy the smells on the breeze and Jazz pottered about, doing his own thing ☺️.
We all slowly moved through the middle field and into the end field as the group followed their noses. There was even some wind scattered snacks to find in the really long grass 🍬🌿☺️.
We all stopped at the pink tyre and practiced Sit, Name recognition and Settle as we sat down to take in the sights and sounds around us.
There were a few more short wrestling games as we wandered back down to the paddling pool and platform, then it was back into the middle field for the last of the sniffing to end our windy morning.

Wednesday afternoon 🍬

The wild and windy weather continued at the Playground this afternoon as Blu, Theo, Riko, Willow, Archie, Rex, Luna and Reginald raced off to explore.
Everyone was scattered across the field and once they'd caught up with the smells 🌱, they joined me at the shelter for Focus and Find It🍬.
Once we'd had some snacks, the games began as Theo, Willow, Riko and Blu bounced around together ☺️.
Archie and I watched them as we wandered along the fence line, hunting out some snacks in the grass.
Reginald and Luna were showing Rex where the tasty grass was and they hid for a while in the long grass to enjoy a quiet nibble together 😊.
We took the sniffing,snacking and games into the end field and tried not to get blown away by the wind 😅.
Then we had fun at the platform and even braved a splash in the pools before Blu and Archie led us back into the middle field where we all enjoyed a few laps to keep warm as well as racing, chasing and bouncing around, before we settled in for some naps on the journey home 😴.

Wednesday morning 🍬

Luna and I enjoyed a windy wander at the Moss to start the day. She chose to head along the road and spent a while zig zagging from one side to the other to get as many sniffs in as possible 🤭.
When we got to the grassy path, we realised it was going to be a bit muddy, so we had a great time splashing and running around 😂.
With very soggy feet, we enjoyed a slow wander through the trees and out onto the moss.
It was lovely and fresh in the wind as we enjoyed the sights and sounds of the birds zipping over the heather.
When we got back to the main path, Luna chose to go the long way, where we had fun splashing in the bog and jumping on the fallen trees to end our walk ☺️.

Sniffclub was busy at the Playground this morning as Brodie, Charlie, Oscar, Bonnie, Millie, Rosie, Maggie and Jazz got their noses working hard.
There were a lot of smells to enjoy in all of the fields, and the group split up to spend a while exploring 🌿.
We met up in the end field for Find It in the rain 🍬🍬.
Rosie enjoyed finding the best places to lie down as Jazz took his time wandering around.
Maggie and Millie went off to snuffle in the long grass together as Oscar joined Bonnie for snack and sniff near the fence☺️.
Charlie was happy shouting at the tyre toy as he carried it to different spots in the grass 😄.
We all kept an eye on Brodie, who was happy just pottering in amongst the long grass at the banking🌿.
After a few zig zaggy loops of the end field, we all moved back to the middle field for more sniffing, exploring and treat hunting.
We practiced name recognition, Focus and Touch before racing back to the van to heat up on the way home.

Tuesday afternoon 🌧

It was like autumn at the Playground this afternoon 🥶. Willow, Rudi, Izzy, Theo, Sonny and Blu had to brave the wind and rain as they played and explored.
Willow, Rudi and Theo had some fun games of chase🚀, as Blu and Izzy hunted tricky wind scattered snacks 🌪🍬.
Sonny had a squashed ball and busied himself carrying it around for a while.
We explored the middle field🌾 before racing into the end field for fun agility on the platform and some chase games. The rain got heavier, so I followed Izzy and Blu down to the sandpit for some shelter and we watched Willow and Theo jump around. Rudi was busy having a nibble on some grass at the fenceline 🌱😄.
We all took a break from the rain at the big shelter before braving the rain for a few slow sniffy loops of the field🌪🌧🌿🍬.
There were a few more bouncy chase games to keep everyone warm before we enjoyed name recognition and tricky Find It in the long grass to end the afternoon🌱🍬.

Tuesday morning 🌧

Archie, Charlie, Oscar, Fudge, Rolo, Willow, Cora and I arrived at the Playground at the same time as the rain 😅. We didn't mind too much and spent a while catching up on all the smells before the sun came back out.
Charlie found the tyre toy and the spikey ball, which Willow stole and ran away with 😔😄, so he got his nose working extra hard to try and find them 🌱.
Fudge spent most of his time finding tasty grass to nibble and he even found some hidden snacks too 🤫🍬.
Oscar, Archie and Rolo just pottered around, doing their own thing and enjoying a good sniff and explore 🤭. Cora was having a great time racing here there and everywhere 🚀 as she burned off some spaniel energy.
When we got to the end field, we kept it quiet and slow as we enjoyed the sunshine and wind scattered snacks 🍬🌱 with lots of name recognition, Sit, Find It and Focus games too 😊.
The group was busy sniffing and snuffling as we wandered to the end of the field. The rain came back so we stopped at the shelter before getting properly soggy at the paddling pools 🤣.
After a slow snuffle through the middle field, it was time to grab the last bits of good grass, find the last interesting smells and go back to the van to dry off and head home 🤭.

Monday afternoon 🚀

There was more fun games of chase at the Playground this afternoon with Bella, Brodie, Buddy, Luna, Sprocket, Theo, Willow and Dolly 😊.
They didn't waste time sniffing and raced straight into the field. After a couple of laps to burn off some energy, we slowed things down for sniffing and Find It 🌾🍬.
Brodie did his best to keep up with Buddy and Theo as they took off at full speed 🚀. They made sure to take breaks and have lots of splashes at the pools 😄. Willow watched them from the platform, waiting to join in 🤭.
Sprocket, Dolly, Luna and Bella left them to it and kept out of the way as they enjoyed sniffing and grass nibbling around the field🌿.
When the heavy rain arrived, Sprocket and Dolly made their way to the sandpit for shelter and it wasn't long before the rest of the group joined them 😅🌧.
The rain wasn't going away so we braved it for a few loops of the field and some last minute chase games before it was time to get packed up and race back to the van to dry off 🤭.

Monday morning 🚀

It was a full and fun group at the Playground this morning as Haggis, Novo Mika, Lexi, Brig, Bella, Ruby and Harley raced into the field 😊🚀.
After spending a while catching up on the good smells 🌾, the group split up to play.
Novo, Haggis, Bella and Ruby made up one chase group with Brig, Mika and Lexi in the other 🤭.
Harley and I paired up to explore as the others stretched their legs and enjoyed race and chase🚀.
We all took a break at the paddling pools🌊 and platform to catch our breath and sit for a while.
After more crazy chase to the end of the field, Bella and Novo showed off their rolling skills, legs going all ways 🤣. We all enjoyed another sit down before a group race back to the platform 😅🚀.
We splashed, had some fun with Find It🍬, practiced name recognition and Sit then it was back into the middle field for a slow sniffy loop🌱 for the last of the smells before heading home.

Thursday afternoon ☔️

Luna, Scooby, Blu, Sprocket and Sam were lucky this afternoon as the heavy rain had blown itself away by the time we got to the Playground 😄.
Everything was still soggy, so we had fun finding the good smells hidden in the rain flattened grass 🌱.
Luna did her best to get Sprocket to play but he was busy digging, shouting and snuffling 🤭.
Scooby paired up with Blu again as he knows Blu will find the hidden snacks 😄🍬.
Sam was off having a good old rake around the field, keeping his nose busy and enjoying the quiet 😊.
We all wandered into the end field to see what else we could find before enjoying a sit down at the bench to enjoy the sunshine for a while 😎.
Sam stayed with me for cuddles and we watched the rest of the group explore 🌱. Sprocket decided he was going to hide in the grass, with just the tips of his ears showing 🤭. Luna and Scooby almost had a wee bounce together but got distracted by Blu, who was on a snack hunt 😅 so we all joined in for Find It 🍬🍬 as we wandered slowly back through the fields.
We had enough time for some splashing at the pools and fun at the slide before it was time to head back home 😊.

Thursday morning ☔️

Brig, Oscar, Haggis, Charlie, Jazz and Rosie got a big soggy at the Playground this morning 😅. The rain was relentless, so we spent most of our time sniffing our way around the fields 🌱. There were smells to find, tasty grass to nibble and treats to enjoy.
Jazz still wanted to play with the hose 🤣 and Brig and Haggis still splashed around in the pools as Oscar, Charlie and I had cuddles and explored 🌱. Rosie busied herself finding good spots to lie down at and everytime I looked up, she was in a different place 😄. We kept things quiet as we all wandered for a while then the rain got really heavy, so we hightailed it to the shelter but we still got soaked, so we headed back to the paddling pools 🌊🤣 then slowly back through the middle field to hide in the big shelter for a while. The rain was not letting up so we had time for one last very wet sniff around the field, then raced back to the van for a towel dry before heading home.

Thursday Littles 😍

We tried to make the best of the weather 🌧

We dug in replenished sand pit, played in the ball pool, raced around, agitated lavender and thyme for some amazing smells, and even slashed in the water! 😅💦

Wednesday afternoon😎

The sun continued to shine at the Playground for Blu, Willow, Sonny, Rex, Luna, Archie, Reginald and Theo.
We kept things quiet, with lots of splashing at the pools and snuffling in the long grass 🌱.
Willow, Sonny, Luna and I made the most of the shade 🥵 as Reginald, Theo, Rex and Blu wandered around the field😅.
Archie was happy doing his own thing in the middle field and came to join us a few times, just for a snack and to see what we were up to 🤭.
Reginald and Rex paired up to nibble the grass as the rest of us relaxed in the shade 😎.
Willow and Theo had a bounce around before Theo invited Luna to play and they really bounced around 😆. Archie and I were impressed with their acrobatics, but Reginald, Blu, Sonny and Rex didn't even bat an eyelid 🤣. We had another splash at the pools and a last slow sniff in the grass before racing back to get the cold air blasting for the journey home 🤭.

Wednesday morning 😎

Sam and I went to check out a potential new walk near the cyclepath this morning. It was a nice path but it didn't lead anywhere, so we enjoyed all the smells and had lots of splashes in the water before crossing the bridge and heading onto the proper cyclepath 😊. It was fun exploring a new place and Sam had a great time getting soggy in the burn and finding all the good smells 🌱. We found another wee path we hadn't been on before, which leads to the quarry, which we'll come back and investigate another day 🤭. Sam zig zagged along the cyclepath, collecting as many smells as possible as we made our way to the river for a proper swim 🌊.
We spent a while splashing and swimming in the cool water before enjoying a slow sniff walk back along the path 🌱.
There was enough time to enjoy a quick spring in the Meadowsweet field before heading back home for a nap 😴🤭.

It was a busy morning at the Playground for sniffclub as Brodie, Millie, Maggie, Charlie, Oscar, Bonnie, Jazz and Rosie enjoyed the sunshine 🌱😎.
We headed to the paddling pools to splash and dampen ourselves down before wandering off to explore in the end field. We found a breeze so stopped for tricky Find It 🍬🍬, then the group split up to enjoy their own time for a while.
Charlie spotted the ball on top of the shelter and came racing to tell me about it, even though he knows I won't throw it for him 😅. Maggie spent most of her time following Millie around as they caught up with all the smells in the field 🌱.
Bonnie and Brodie were happy on their own, exploring in the grass as Rosie and I sat in the shade.
Jazz joined us every now and again, inbetween splashing in the pool and keeping watch over the water tap 🤭.
We kept things quiet, with lots of sitting in the shade or snuffling in the long cool grass.
There was lots of time left for splashing, sniffing and snacking before we had to pack up and head home 😊.

Willow, Riko, and a little bit of Theo in a great display of nice, controlled, mutual play. I do love watching dogs playing together nicely, communicating throughout, and respecting each others boundaries. I could watch them for hours 🐾👣 (but there was a shed to be fixed, so hey ho! sorry for the 🛠 noise 🤭).

Caring for animals isn’t what we do, it’s who we are.

I have spent countless hours studying animals, both in formal and less formal ways.

I have gained two animal sciences degrees, one postgraduate diploma, and many other bigger and smaller qualifications and certificates. I learn on daily basis.

I don't mention qualifications because I think you can only be good with animals if you're qualified. Far from it. Although the amount of effort, time (and money) that went into deepening my knowledge, the stresses of it, the sleepless weeks that led to achieving qualifications, were all part of the journey I am proud to have been through.

The years spent doing unpaid voluntary placements and internships, in order to one day become a paid animal professional, are sign of my commitment.
