Urgent Update:
Ebor Vale is about to start its 42nd season from April to Nov 2023
There have been some truly memorable times during its history and some great friendships have been forged, and in terms of current funds , ponies, helpers and equipment we are in good shape.
But the future operation of the Group is nevertheless in doubt.
Many of our 8 person committee has served the Group for much of its existence, one for 32 years. Some understandably want to take a step back.
At our AGM in a couple of months time, to be able to go forward into the 43rd year, the Group will need:
2 Trustees (We are a CIO), A Group Organiser, Driving Coach ,Riding Coach and Treasurer and most importantly a Fundraiser These are all voluntary roles.
If you think you can help take the Group into the future , please contact by email to [email protected] in the first instance , or pass the message on to others if appropriate Thankyou
For new volunteers (and existing) we have a separate page called Ebor Vale Riding for the Disabled Volunteers.
This is a closed group and you need to apply to join.
This is purely for the background of rotas, training cancellation notices and relevant horse information. Thankyou
Just a reminder that there is no volunteer pony training on Saturday 18th March.
(There is a separate private event on site that day )
Thank you
So field cleaning this morning was a bit of bleak cold start, but livened up by the company of a barn owl circling us a number of times.... obviously quality controller 🤣
A HUGE thankyou to everyone who voted with the blue coins...
and of course to all at Tesco at Market Weighton
We won the Tesco £1000 award, towards our Health n Hooves.... farriers dentists vets fees etc.. 🥳🤩🥰
And it was even a test on imposters with the herons on Saturday 🤣
"So which one is which " asked Lily... someone is having a joke this season !
Thankyou to our existing volunteers for prepping and displays , and new volunteers and visitors for attending. All turning out on a freezing cold morning but lots of tea and smiles prevailed !
A big thankyou to Melissa from the Coop , visiting in the cold to our open morning and bring a supply of Fairtrade goodies for our tearoom !!
