While wandering around PADS Scrufts today, we came across this brilliantly designed anti escape/houdini harness, perfect for dogs who may need that security of a third strap.

Designed with rescues in mind, its a lovely bit of kit with all the adjustable elements you need, and the third strap is actually removable should it no longer be required!

The fab adjustable double ended lead is also a great design. Both products are also very affordable, which is amazing!

Did you know we provide nail trims without an appointment?

Simply pop in when we are open and one of our groomers will assist you. All nail trims include cut and file for £17.50, or you can upgrade to include a paw health check, fur trim on the paw pads and some soothing moisturising balm for £20. The balm helps with existing dry/cracking pads as well as protecting against these issues🐾

Little Luna is flourishing ✨️

Luna 🌝

Little Luna was found in a garden, alone and frightened. She freaked out the first time we put a lead on her but with time we managed to make her feel safe and Elaine took her along to the woods with her own dog, where Luna's confidence grew almost immediately.

Her microchip was foreign and never registered in the UK we managed to contact the European country and get an approximate date of birth and date of export to the UK. After vaccinations, brucellosis testing and spay Luna was rehomed to Derek from Edinburgh and he kindly updated us to say

"Luna has settled in really well. She is a very different little dog from the one we took home. She loves her walks, sniffing around and meeting other dogs. She is more confident outside than indoors but is now eating well and settling into her home. She loves her bed! We are lucky to have her. "

Look at the soft little face, much more content than the skittish wee fox that first arrived. Congratulations Luna 🩷

Some trainers will claim they can 'fix' your dog quick. Just stick this collar on and ✨️bam✨️

But the reality is, they have suppressed behaviour, not fixed it. The underlying cause remains.

If a trainer tells you they can do this, or your harness encourages pulling, or this string collar or prong will magically enhance your 'communication' its unfortunately just not true and may well damage your relationship with your dog.

We can make improvements in a session, provide clarity, sometimes even make an environment shift that changes everything.

But when big behaviours that come from big feelings or a developing brain are quickly changed. Something is wrong. Just the same way we would worry about a high energy personality suddenly feeling flat, this sudden shift is telling us something isn’t right.

No one can learn that fast, behaviour change takes time, learning takes time, skill, new muscle development.

But suppression, fear and confusion happens fast.
