Always better safe then sorry!

Shortly after this photo was taken, eight-month-old labrador-cross Trevor was involved in a serious car accident – and owner Leigh has taken to Instagram to credit the 3 Peaks harness she bought from Pets at Home Kidderminster for saving his life.

Leigh and her partner Callum were on their way to Trevor’s first beach trip when a car came speeding around a blind corner on the wrong side of the road, causing a crash – writing off all cars involved. When Leigh smelled burning, her first thought was of Trevor. She said: “While Callum called the emergency services, I rushed to get Trevor. I unclipped his seatbelt and got him out of the car. I couldn’t believe he was all okay; just understandably shaking and scared.”

Leigh had picked up the 3 Peaks crash impact tested harness as a last-minute decision before the trip, after feeling that Trevor wasn’t secure enough in his previous set up. She said: “If we hadn’t bought that harness, on top of all the trauma of the whole situation, we could have lost Trevor. The 3 Peaks harness undoubtedly saved his life. I wrote the post on Instagram to help spread awareness about keeping your dog safe and secure when travelling in a car, because I know people who don’t restrain their dogs at all. And unfortunately, I’ve now been in a crash myself where the harness has been put to the test. Buying it was one of the best things that we did.”

Saw Bertie again today for 30 minutes. Such a small dog in a big world but he's loving it! Always so excited for his walks over in the local park. And what a lovely day for it, warm with a soothing breeze!

Today, I spent an hour with Ruby and Peggy, two new dogs I had the pleasure of meeting. They were full of energy, while playing in the garden even if it was raining to begin with! 🌦 It was a wonderful visit with these two sweet pups! 🐕🐶
