Do you have a dog with separation anxiety? I can help you.

It's important to get all the details so we know exactly what we are dealing with. And then it takes time and patience.
Here is Rufus' story:

This is quite a straightforward separation case. Two-year-old Fox Terrier Rufus panics when he’s left all by himself. He came from the breeder to live with the young lady at about eight months of age. Read more…

Without semantics and the definitions of punishment, it’s enough to say here that punishment is anything the dog doesn’t like, done by us, in order to stop him/her doing something we don’t want him to do. It can be subtle.

Banjo's story is a case in point.

Punishment of any sort - anything the dog doesn't like in fact, can often quiet subtly leave fallout in terms of lack of confidence and wariness.

How can I stop my dog pulling?
It's the wrong question

(The lead should be at least 6 feet long. I wouldn't hold the food in my hand when working on technique - is the dog walking to be with me or to be with the food?!).

"3 weeks ago I was at the end of my tether and it was me or the dogs (and I suspect my husband may have chosen the dogs!).

I didn’t know how to stop all the barking, dreaded callers to the house and generally wondered why on earth I had dogs.

It has been hard, the first 10 days or so was stressful trying to remember all the things to do, I lost my temper, I shouted, the dogs seemed worse than ever before but now I am seeing results, it feels good, I feel good.
The dogs are brilliant, I love them again".

🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I often used to have so many enquiries for my home consultations I found it hard to keep up. I had countless testimonials, like the one above.
My virtual visits are a lot cheaper, but it may be hard for people to have the same faith in me. I am the same person however. I have exactly the same approach and the same methods.

Over the past, now four, years I have found that online consultations are really enjoyable for both me and the client - and are very productive and successful.🙂🐶💛💛

From an online consultation - in PORTUGAL.

"Thanks for your sensible and wise counseling about our relation with Rufus. It was a warm but very professional session. We felt welcome and not criticized about what we where doing and helped to see in a different way how to deal with Rufus. After all his behavior is a resonance of ours…

We are using the harness and its amazing how it changed his behavior. Seems more calm and almost doesn’t pull.

We also start using food to reward him and now he is always readily obedient to our commands (before sometimes he was obedient only after insistence).

Crying in the morning and when we arrive home as almost stopped. Its amazing what happens when we change our behavior".
