Today was the end of summer supaw sniffer club and we celebrated with a super sniffer compawtition … the dog that took home the gold winners medal was WELL DONE MILLOE 🥰 and well done to all the other dogs who worked through the pouring rain 🌧️ see you all for next terms classes

Keep Your Dog Cool and Safe This Summer! 🐶🌞

As the temperature rises, it's crucial to ensure your furry friend stays cool.

Essential tips:

Never leave dogs in hot cars, conservatories, outbuildings, or caravans. Even if it's only 22°C outside, temperatures inside can reach a deadly 47°C!

Use pet-safe sun cream on exposed skin like ears and nose to prevent sunburn, especially for dogs with light-coloured fur.

Provide shade and fresh water at all times.

Check for flystrike daily—it can be fatal.

Cool treats: Add ice cubes to their water bowl or freeze a kong with treats and water.

Damp towels and ice packs: Let them lie on damp towels or ice packs wrapped in towels.

Day outings: Ensure the venue is dog-friendly or arrange a pet-sitter.

Regular grooming helps reduce excess fur.

Paddling pools: Let them splash if they enjoy water.

Walking in the heat of the day - Walk your dog during cooler hours (morning or evening).

Avoid hot pavements - If you have to walk them in the day.

🌞Stay vigilant and keep your pet safe.
