Achnacarry Country Dog Walking is a small family run business with years of experience working with a variety of dog breeds and temperaments. We offer a relaxed country walk for all pets. We can offer solo walks for reactive or nervous dogs, pack walks for the more sociable among our clientele, as well as in-home pet sitting for dogs and cats.

What We Offer

We aim to be the highlight of your dog's day and take them on fun and exciting walks. We collect your pets from their own home and will take them out for an hour of running, sniffing, and playing. Owners can negotiate a longer walk with us, and if required, we can care for them until a more suitable time for them to be returned home*. Once your pet is returned home, happy and tired, we can feed them, administer any medication, and top-up water bowls.

We offer solo one-to-one walks with reactive/nervous dogs to minimise their stress and provide an enjoyable countryside walk where they can roam for miles throughout the surrounding woodland and forestry. If we believe that we can improve your pets reaction to other dogs, with your permission, we can try walking them with one of our own and assess how their behaviour progresses.

Pack Walks will include up to 4 dogs at a time where they can socialise and play while being exercised and keeping their body and mind stimulated.

Every dog is walked on extendable leads with slip collars, however if your dog needs to be walked on a harness for medical reasons it must be supplied. As the dogs bond with us and we are assured of their behaviour we can offer off-lead walks - however this will be done entirely at our own discretion and if in our opinion your dog is not suited then they will be kept on lead.

Call, message or email us for a free consultation where we can arrange a convenient time to meet you and your pet and discuss your needs. This can be done in the home or out on a walk where we can learn even more about your dog and allow them to become familiar with us. From this we can obtain your basic dog information, emergency contact details and answer any of your questions. If you are confident in the service we provide, we can go from there and book in what you need.

* This is reliant on how many other appointments we have scheduled for the day.

If you prefer to leave your cats at home when you go on holiday we can offer a service where we will feed, change litter trays, and spend time with them.

We also offer a grocery service where we can pick-up a basic list of items for your return from holiday.

Price

We charge £10.00 for an hour walk. Each extra dog from the same family is an added £8.00 per hour.

Reactive or nervous dogs which require solo walks are charged at £12.00 per hour.

The price of Home-Sitting will be negotiated depending on the age of the dog and how many toilet breaks it will need.

The price of cat care will be negotiated depending on how many times a day you require them fed and checked on.
