Saints Sled Dog Rescue is a non-profitable charity, set up to help the ever growing population of unwanted Siberian huskies and Alaskan Malamutes.

Foster boy Loki the 4-year-old Siberian Husky is now ready to find his forever family!
Loki is an active boy who likes going on adventures and LOVES playing with the female dog in his foster home. He is looking for a cat and child free home but would like a easy going, playful dog to keep him company.
Loki is a super clever boy who enjoys training, he is currently learning to walk nicely on lead. He can howl initially when left, but soon settles.
Loki does have a cheeky side! He can be a houdini that can open doors, he will steal another dogs food if given the chance and He likes to destroy his tennis ball 🥎

Say 👋 to handsome boy Barney the 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier.
Barney was sadly left to us at kennels just a few days before Christmas after being with us for 12 weeks.
We had a phone call to say the owner could no longer care for Barney so were asked if we can find him a home.
Barney is a VERY sweet boy who is looking for a quiet home with someone around most of the time. He does bark when left but will settle down eventually. He gets along with other dogs but would prefer a calm, older dog to keep him company.
SSDR are proud to be part of the national ‘Hope for Christmas’ campaign, highlighting dogs who have waited over a year for a home.
Our dog is Eldur and he deserve so much more than time spent waiting.
Please help us:
• Share their story
• Enter to support our rescue
• Help long-waiting dogs be seen, heard and loved
All funds are shared equally.

Talk about a Christmas wish coming true!
Our two 'reindeers' Comet and Cupid have found their happily ever after already with this amazing family!
These boys have gained around 4 kilo in just 3 weeks and still have a little more to go until they are at their best weight. They will need time to adjust to their new life but we KNOW they will be settled in no time.
These boys will be vaccinated and neutered soon once they are fully healthy but we wanted them to start bonding with their new family rather than keep them longer in foster care where the separation will be more difficult.
A HUGE thank you again to Team Edward Labrador Rescue who have joined us on these boys journey and offered help and support!

The SSDR team would like to say a HUGE thank you to the Husky/Mally Walks Central Scotland group who have donated £400 to help support our sled dogs in need this December.
This amazing group of individuals have been supporting our rescue for a long time helping make sure we can keep on saving sled dogs in need around the UK.
To everyone in the group THANK YOU and Merry Christmas from Saints Sled Dog Rescue 💜🐾

Check out the gorgeously goofy Marley 🐾
After over 5 years in our care, he so deserves to find his forever home 🏡
Marley is a 7-year-old Husky Cross that would love an active home, he absolutely LOVES to run and play ball 🥎 He would make the perfect companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures.
Marley does resource guard and has bitten over this, he is also collar shy boy that needs to be given time to adjust to his new home.

Saints Sled Dog Rescue
SSDR is a nationwide, voluntary run non-profit organisation, as we have now been approved for charity status. Our aim is to help as many unwanted and stray Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes as possible through the process of fostering and rehoming, or simply supporting their owners with help and advice. We also arrange and carry out educational visits across the country, including working and handling demonstrations.
We work alongside other rescue organisations, pounds and dog wardens to help ensure that all dogs are rehomed in the best possible environment for them.
At present, many of these dogs are being purchased and even bred by people who have very little understanding of the needs of these wonderful breeds. Whilst some of the dogs who come into our care do so for genuine reasons, the majority come from puppy farms, back yard breeders and un-informed owners. Through our educational visits and working demonstrations we hope to improve the future for these dogs, whilst we try to help the ones who need us now through rehoming and support.
All of our coordinators are experienced in these breeds and have themselves fostered and adopted Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. Our volunteers are all passionate about the breeds and the work that we do. At SSDR, we will take any dog that needs us, regardless of its age or health. Any donations to take a dog into our care are voluntary. We are also happy to offer our services in assessing these breeds for other rescue organisations that may not have great understanding of their specialist needs. We provide training and 24 hour support for our volunteers as well as lifelong support for the dogs we rehome.
