Check out foster girls Xena & Willow having an absolute blast at the Seaside!
This BEAUTIFUL sibling pair are looking for their forever home together 🐾🐾
They are 7-year-old Malamute Crosses that have a wonderful bond.
They are great with children they meet and could live with children who are dog savvy.
They haven't lived with other dogs before but they are good when meeting them on walks.
Both girls sit nicely to have their harnesses put on and walk well on lead, unless they see a pesky squirrel 🐿️
They LOVE to be outside exploring followed by lots of fusses from their humans, they are a super affectionate pair.
They have a cheeky side too, Xena likes to ruffle up the bed once it's been made and Willow likes to steal toys from her sister 😂
Toy time will need to be supervised for this reason, but she doesn't show signs of resource guarding with humans, just other dogs.
Say ANOTHER big welcome to new girl Fendi the 2-year-old Siberian Husky who is on her way back to her foster family as we speak 💜🐾.
Fendi was sadly given up due to her family loosing their home. She will be under assessment for the next few weeks but keep your 👀 peeled for more of this beautiful girls updates!
If you would like to register interest in adopting Fendi, or any of our current foster dogs please get in touch for more information www.saintssleddogrescue.co.uk/adoption 💻

Sheba will be under assessment over coming weeks and will receive treatment for a ongoing ear infection. Be sure to keep your 👀 peeled for her updates!
We are always on the lookout for new foster homes, If you can offer a foster placement to a sled dog in need please follow the link below 👇
Can you believe this gorgeous boy is still looking for his forever home 🐾 🏠
Zenku is a 4-year-old Siberian Husky, he is a loveable boy that is great with dogs and cats. He would suit a home with older children, due to his boisterous nature as he may knock young children over.
He is a boy that loves his humans so may whimper when left, but he isn't destructive. He can be a strong boy on the lead, he LOVES his walks and going on adventures.
Zenku currently lives with cats, he showed interest at first but is now uninterested. He will need slow introductions with cats to begin with.
If you would like to offer Zenku the loving home he so deserves please head over to our website and fill in an adoption form 👇
Simba is a tiny boy who has been through a lot already in his young life and found himself in the pound to be put to sleep.
In the pound Simba was very scared and snappy, having been abused with his previous owner he was understandably untrusting of humans.
Simba is doing amazing in foster care, he prefers older, calmer dogs and would suit a quieter home who give him time and space to come around to them. He will be looking for his forever home in the next few weeks so if you would like to register interest please get in touch www.saintssleddogrescue.co.uk/adoption 💻

HAPPY NATIONAL SLED DOG DAY!! 🐺
We might be a little biassed about these AMAZING breeds BUT today we are celebrating the world of northern breeds today and why WE dedicate our rescue to helping them.
These ancient working breeds date back hundreds of thousands of years, only around the last 4,000 years have they been domesticated, working along side humans pulling sleds.
They have attracted us with their beauty and character over time but we often forget they are breeds which are physically and mentally strong, hardwired to endure long distances weighted sleds in tow, subzero temperatures and the want to work built in thier DNA. .
Sled dogs have been our saviour throughout history being by our side through wars, freighting goods through treacherous terrains, lead us in exhibitions and in more recent years recreational mushing. BUT, in modern society sled dogs have been seen in popular TV shows, films and over socials which depict an idealistic image of owning a sled dog, which is often far from the reality of them owning YOU!
Over the last 12 years Saints Sled Dog Rescue has dedicated time and resources to offer sanctuary to sled dogs in need from all back grounds of life to help them find FOREVER with a life long back up plan if needed.
A MAJORITY of dogs are given up through lack of research and dedication to their day-to-day needs. They can be destructive, devious and even aggressive if unsocialised, under exercised and under stimulated which is why WE are here to not only help rescue them, but to also educate the public on the reality of owning working breeds and supporting unsuspecting owners so they can keep their adored pets in their care.
It is a ever growing task which couldn't be done without our amazing supporters, foster homes and adoptive family which is why we think sled dogs are some thing to shout about.
To celebrate these incredible dogs we want to see ALL your sled dogs doing what sled dogs do BEST!! 📷

The gorgeous Fred is still on the lookout for his forever home 🏡
Fred is an Akira cross Malamute just under 2-years-old. He is super affectionate with humans but he can be nervous of new men initially.
Fred is great with children once he gets to know them, he could live with older dog savvy childrenwho know to give him space when he needs it.
Fred walks well on lead but does gets super excited to meet other dogs. He would benefit from having meet and greets with similar sized dogs to learn from 🐾🐾
When left alone Fred is currently crated, he has a cheeky Houdini side and can open cupboards and doors with ease!
Fred is a quick learner, he knows his basic commands and he will sit patiently for his food.
To register your interest in Fred please head over to our website 👇
Who can offer a foster home to SSDR Hunter the 3-year-old Husky 🐺
Hunter found himself with us at kennels and is looking for an experienced foster home to help him settle down for rehoming.
He is a SUPER nervous boy, especially around men, and is looking for a home where he will have his own space where he can take himself and not be bothered while he finds his feet. Hunter does resource guarding and has bitten because of this so will need to be somewhere who can manage this behaviour.
Around kennels Hunter is a cheeky, everybody that LOVES to do zoomies and play ball. He is highly food motivated BUT it has to be for the right treat... Sausages are his absolute favourite!

Saints Sled Dog Rescue
SSDR is a nationwide, voluntary run non-profit organisation, as we have now been approved for charity status. Our aim is to help as many unwanted and stray Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes as possible through the process of fostering and rehoming, or simply supporting their owners with help and advice. We also arrange and carry out educational visits across the country, including working and handling demonstrations.
We work alongside other rescue organisations, pounds and dog wardens to help ensure that all dogs are rehomed in the best possible environment for them.
At present, many of these dogs are being purchased and even bred by people who have very little understanding of the needs of these wonderful breeds. Whilst some of the dogs who come into our care do so for genuine reasons, the majority come from puppy farms, back yard breeders and un-informed owners. Through our educational visits and working demonstrations we hope to improve the future for these dogs, whilst we try to help the ones who need us now through rehoming and support.
All of our coordinators are experienced in these breeds and have themselves fostered and adopted Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. Our volunteers are all passionate about the breeds and the work that we do. At SSDR, we will take any dog that needs us, regardless of its age or health. Any donations to take a dog into our care are voluntary. We are also happy to offer our services in assessing these breeds for other rescue organisations that may not have great understanding of their specialist needs. We provide training and 24 hour support for our volunteers as well as lifelong support for the dogs we rehome.
