Been busy in the last 6 months.

Time to start posting what we've been up to.

When Paul Boyles welcomed King Erik into his life, he had no idea how profoundly this former racehorse, trained by Ben Pauling, would change everything.

Hetton Lyons Country Park today. Motty looks like he has finally cracked this loading so we can continue our adventures. That's 3 days in a row he has loaded really well.

Busy long weekend for us both this weekend.

Might show Motty the jumps round here so he can have a play.

Today Motty and I had our monthly Ranger Visit to Elemore Country Park.

Ground drying up nicely although still a few boggy patches so just a walk and trot today. Hopefully next visit we'll be up to canter mode.

Few issues found and reported back to the Park Manager.

Was really funny, when one of the dog walkers in the area thought we were Police Horses. 😂

Back on the track. Well the old railway tracks!!!

Lovely hack out today and it was dry for a change. With the warm weather and the breeze, I'm hoping the fields start to dry out and the grass will grow.

Finally a day with no rain!!!

Today I showed Joey and Motty the way to Durham. I had Half Pint (Poppy) on board today so it was a doddle.

Motty had Grace on board which was Grace's first time on an Ex-Racehorse. Rode like a pro. Needs to work on dismounting though. It's a bit of a longer drop from Motty than it is Brandy at 12'2hh. 😂

Joey was spot on today. Led for most of the way and was so eager to get back that he jogged the last 1/2 mile. We just took it easy. Motty and me have had the fast life!!!

I was my usual magnificent self. I'm always good when Half Pint is onboard. I did try to make a sneaky getaway early to get back to the yard, but Poppy isn't taking any crap from me these days.

Day off tomorrow cos the rain is back again.

Yesterday I went to Elemore Park to conduct my monthly Ranger Patrol. Assisted by my new Deputy (Motty), we went patrolling the area and reported any issues to the Management.

Area looking really good with only a few issues to report.

We were lucky enough at the end to have an area fenced off for us to graze.

What a day. Even managed a cheeky little hack in the grounds as well.
