Dog collars and leads made from Biothane and Paracord

BioThane® is a very strong soft coated webbing with a leather like appearance, but doesn't wear like leather and is waterproof, mould resistant and easily cleanable. BioThane® coated webbing has proven durability in applications where safety, cleanability, flexibility and strength are critical. Paracord (also parachute cord or 550 cord) is a v

ery strong but lightweight nylon rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. Once in the field, paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks. It is now used as a general purpose utility cord by both military personnel and civilians. This versatile cord was even used by astronauts during the STS-82 mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.

We’ve managed to catch up with all the outstanding website orders, always a few hectic days after having been away on holiday.

We made these lovely four slip leads in red, dusty turquoise, neon green and dark green for one of our regular dog walking customers. 😍
Our boy Vegas is modelling one of them showing off nicely how our slip leads work, they have one stopper that is adjusted to the dog’s neck size so they don’t get choked if they pull and another stopper to open/close the lead.

We had a great weekend at NATB Dog Sports at Hinton Admiral in the New Forest, our final trade stand event of the season! 🎉
Thank you to the organisers and everybody who came to our trade stand over the weekend. We met some lovely new and repeat customers and their dogs. 😍

Our Story

At Rock It Dog Design we lovingly hand-make dog collars and leads from BioThane® and Paracord. BioThane® is a coated webbing with a leather like feel and appearance, that is very durable, waterproof, mould resistant and easily cleanable. Paracord, a very strong but lightweight nylon rope, is like BioThane® a very durable and strong material. We weave and knot Paracord into stylish and colourful collars and leads with a large variety of colour combinations available. We can also make up your custom colour combinations. We have a great variety of collar and lead designs available and are always happy to make custom designs and sizes to suit your dog.

We, Victoria and James Rock, are your Rock It Dog Design collar and lead makers carefully supervised by our canine team members consisting of Indi and Vegas, two German Shorthaired Pointer crosses; Kai, a German Wirehaired Pointer and Otley, a Staffie cross.
