Does your dog find it difficult being locked out of a room when your doing something?
This used to be mavis. And now look at her 👀
How did I achieve this I hear you cry.
1. I popped her behind the baby gate and popped a treat on the floor for her.
2. I closed the baby gate and popped a few treats on the floor one at a time in quick succession.
3. I started to move away 1 step at a time, and when I moved back to the baby gate, I dropped a treat over the gate.
Gradually I was able to get to where I was able to do things like this and just every so often (like in the video) I drop a piece of food on the floor for her just to let her know that's what I want.
P.s. I have got leggings on in this 😂

Mavis used to pull like a steam train. As soon as adolescence hit, all loose lead walk training went out of the window. So back to basics we went. Long line and reward for engagement/loose lead.
Yes she can still sniff, enjoy her walk, as the walk is for her 🙂

Bonni was showing off her recall the other day on our walk.
How do you get a recall that looks like this?
1. Use a high value reward (your dog chooses whats high value)
2. Make sure your dog knows what your asking. Start at home where there are no distractions and only when your dog knows it at home, take to different situations on a LEAD/LONGLINE.
3.Say cue word - here
4.As soon as your dog starts to turn around, say your maker work 'yes'
5.Reward your dog
I always suggest rewarding recall as it's such an important tool to have in your kit.

Last night Duke and Jasmine's mum wanted to try a session with both dogs.
Both Duke and Jasmine are reactive towards dogs since an off-lead dog attack.
Both have engagement with thier mum, both under threshold and everyone smashing it 🥳

Ghost had a training walk this morning and did soooo well! Ghost is reactive to humans and dogs and over the time we were training, 2 people walked by and Ghost was 'ok' with it 👏
