Our Story

Tail Blazer was set up in 2012 to provide a professional, friendly, flexible and reliable dog walking service in Abingdon. I currently run Tail Blazer with the help of my 2 Jackapoos Teddy and Lottie. We spend everyday in the Oxfordshire countryside on open walks with other dogs.

Building on my experience walking dogs, and my desire to learn more about their behaviour, I decided to do a Level 4 Diploma in Dog Behaviour, Psychology and Training through Animal Jobs Direct, who offer online Ofqual Approved Qualifications with a strong emphasis on ethics and welfare. The course was based on force-free, reward based training methods . I completed the course with an Excellent Pass in January 2019.

Science continues to make remarkable discoveries about the psychology and physiology of dogs. Therefore, I'm continuing to learn, research, and stay up to date with these latest discoveries, so that I can always provide you with the best possible advice. I’m a proud member of ‘The Pet Professional Guild’ who are committed to force, pain, and fear free education and training; and the highest standards of professional conduct. I regularly ‘attend’ their webinars to keep up to date and informed.

I'm police checked and fully insured for Dog Walking, Training and Sitting.
