Hard work pays off!
This has not been an easy relationship. It wasn't love at first sight for Luna with our daughter. We had to teach both of them how to be around each other. There were moments when we didn't think it would be possible to keep Luna, but through hard work and dedication, teaching them what they can and can't do , they have created the best bond.
We since have added a second dog into the equation, and it's been lovely to watch those relationships flourish. Both dogs have had to be taught boundaries and shown how to be appropriate around a child.
But I wouldn't change it for the world.
We've had bad advice from trainers but then lots of help from various trainers along the way. @honesthounds @dundeedogtraining @thedogbehaviourist along with an amazing group of friends for help, support tips and cheerleaders.
Yestersay we met up with @ridge_dogs and @louise_and_tinky for a social walk. Tink has previously struggled around other dogs being in her space Louise has done an amazing job at teaching her how to behave. Tinks recent major operations have paused her progress, so Lou met us yesterday to get her back on track and join social walks for social learning.
After some guidance from @ridge_dogs on Tink's subtle guarding she was happily mooching with the other dogs engaging with the environment

We don't need your dog to be the most neutral, perfect dog but we do ask for a few things from you:
- Take responsibility for your dog
- Open to learning about body language & improve your handling skills
- Ask & listen to advice
- Accept feedback
- Intervene when needed and attempt to change your dogs mindset and/or behaviour
This is Florence who's over reactive to humans and dogs.
Last night her and her owner made excellent progress. She wasn't over reactive to Frankie, Luna or the people we saw walking. She was getting her recall practice in and smashing it
