11 DAYS UNTIL WE RE-OPEN!

We’re getting ready to reopen on Friday 14th February!

We’ve used our time to:
1. Give our farm team a bit of a break. We’ve still been on the farm but we have been doing minimal hours for a month or so, so that everybody had a chance to recharge after the busy year.
2. When we have been in we’ve been giving the place a good tidy up, there’s still more to do (there always is) but we’ve been making some good progress, mucking out the large enclosure and general tidying of the farm. We’ve not managed to do everything we’ve planned before reopening but we’ll definitely be getting back onto it after the half term break.

One of the little jobs we did was repurpose this shed that we’d been using for storage. Our oldest kitty Sasha has always slept in the Petting Barn but now we have 2 more kitty’s we wanted to give them all somewhere warm and dry to sleep where they can let themselves in and out. Now we just need to see if they will actually use it!

We’re open for February Half Term 14th-23rd Feb.

Meet our new family members 😍

These two little cuties have come to live with us here on the farm and we’re already so in love with them 🥰

Meet:
Ivan (black)
Charlie (fawn and white)

Over Christmas we lost two of our longest rabbits here at the farm! Although we were really sad of the passing, we had so much love and space to give to some other bunnies in need and these two came exactly at the right time 😁

You’ll find these guys in the petting barn when we reopen and we can’t wait for you to meet them 🥰

They’re both very tame and friendly and will no doubt live their best lives here at the farm 💚

On Sunday (19/1/25) night around 20:37 these numpties tried to gain entry to one of our farm buildings. They were disturbed by our security team and scurried off down and very steep, muddy and overgrown embankment, then made their way along the railway embankment. They would have been very muddy after. I wonder if anyone knows them.

Now we’re all well rested after our amazing Christmas on the Farm, we’re now rearing to go and chomping at the bit again! We will spend the next 4 weeks catching up with farm jobs and maintainance before we reopen on 14th Feb.

In the meantime we welcome our newest rescue, a little bunny called Spot! He’ll have a quiet month to settle in and get used to his new surroundings and by the time we reopen he’ll be ready to come out and meet our visitors!

We can’t wait to see you all again at Spring Half Term!🩵

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARMER LILY🩷

Lily is the glue to our farm, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the farm runs smoothly. You may not know but EVERY sign on the farm has been made by Lily herself.

Lily’s a real go getter, a woman with a strong mind and knows how to things get things done round here! She’s also a great friend to each of the farmers and her support and advice never goes amiss. We all really appreciate her🩵

Lily is the definition of a real friend and we wouldn’t want her any other way ❤️

Our Story

Lancaster Park & Animal Farm is a childrens’ petting farm based in Chadderton, near Oldham (North Manchester). Spread over 25 acres in the beautiful scenic valley of the River Irk, it is surrounded on 3 sides by the Rochdale Canal.

Visitors are able to hold our small animals, feed our animals, bath our tortoise, ride on our fantastic Caterpillar ride, drive our mini quads and mini diggers, enjoy our play areas with swings, slides and ziplines and much more!

WE ARE OPEN: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays during TERM TIME and EVERYDAY during SCHOOL HOLIDAY as well as ALL Bank Holidays.
