A very sad update 😔

Our long term followers will know the legend that is our original Casanova Toby very well.

Toby is still his constant ball of energy bonkers self but we decided to take him to our lovely vet to have some investigations done a couple of weeks ago as he was losing a bit of weight, inspite of increasing his feeds. We found out on Wednesday that he has lymphoma in his small intestines. As you can imagine we are all beyond devastated. The vet has advised against surgery and invasive treatments given his age and he’s going to be on steroids and supplements to try and settle his bowel and keep him happy and comfortable for as long as we possibly can. Toby is not the sort of dog who would thank us for not accepting when the time is right to let him go - he lives life at a 100 mph but we will be praying the spaniel gods let us keep him for a good while yet. None of us are ready to stop having our shoes stolen or our post eaten yet 🫶🏽

Pups are doing amazingly well and running us ragged now - Ruby has wisely decided she’s done her bit and has stepped right back. Can’t blame her at all she’s been amazing and retirement mode is now initiated!!
I’ll take videos tomorrow you won’t believe the size of them.

Also if anybody could spare a £1 or 2 my lovely daughter is doing Race for Life and would hugely appreciate anything anybody could give. Anybody who knows her knows how allergic to physical activity she is so this is a big deal 🤣 We would be eternally grateful.

Well our record of somebody travelling over 500 miles from Germany on puppy visit weekend has been smashed today by lovely Sue.
With a trip of over 4500 miles from Washington and nearly 20,000 miles by the time she’s been back again to collect little Miss Yellow I don’t see that ever being beaten!

Visits welcome weekend of 18/19th May - couple
of days short of 4 weeks but Ruby will be fine by then with strangers handling them 😊

Do any of our cockerdor families by any chance know what their pup weighed at 3 months old? In particular the fox red girls - Miss Yellow is off to live in the US and her family are hoping she’ll be under 9kg at that stage so can travel as carry on 🤞🏽🙏🏽

1.17am - make that 9!!

Looks like we’ve finished on 8 - all absolute pawfection and beautiful colours. Good weights and all feeding - Ruby was unsurprisingly absolutely amazing. Leaving her in peace now and the midwife is off to bed but will keep an eye on them over the cameras 🥰
