Recently rehomed Socks and Bark love their new home. Here they demonstrate the importance of a catflap. Access to a safe garden space whenever they want to go out. Although, we're not sure they will both fit through at the same time 😹
Cambridge branch. Run by volunteers, we care for and rehome local cats, and promote neutering & chips
(1)
Cats Protection Cambridge branch is run solely by volunteers. We take in stray and unwanted cats, rehabilitate them and re-home where possible. We do not have a single address you can visit to see our cats; they are looked after by a team of dedicated fosterers in purpose-built pens in gardens or in rooms in the fosterer's own home until a new home can be found for them. We also feed about 80 fera
ls in the area and encourage both neutering and microchipping. We also provide advice to people who have lost their cat, or found an apparently stray cat. If you'd like to donate to our work please visit our web site https://www.cats.org.uk/cambridge/support-us or our Amazon wishlist at http://amzn.eu/fHQD1wf - thank you!

It's Mature Moggies Day and we are celebrating cats over the age of 11. Have you adopted an older cat who makes a purrfect companion? How old is your cat in human years? We'd love to hear your stories this
Lots of you enjoy the Craft for Cats events, so make a date for Saturday 13th July! Make unique greetings cards using the traditional papercraft known as iris folding. You will receive a kit that includes everything you need to create three individually designed cards. Suitable for ages 7+ 🐈
We are delighted to see Marmalade so happy and relaxed and enjoying life in her purrfect forever home ❤🐾
Thank you so much to Laura, Ruth and another donor whose name wasn't provided by Amazon, for our recent hauls of Felix. Foster cat Freya is very impressed with the choice ❤

How are your cats enjoying this sunny weekend? 🐈 Or did you join our cross-stitch craftalong yesterday? We'd love to hear from you. Meanwhile, if you sent us Felix last week from our wishlist, thank you 😻 - we don't get information about who buys them to thank you personally, and it is much appreciated by foster cats ❤🐾
Sid is a fluffy and chatty gentle giant of a Golden Oldie - a big cat with a big heart! He's a wonderful soft companion who loves being brushed and stroked - even on his belly!
Carrying a bit of extra weight, he requires a supportive environment to help him shed a few kilos.
He is 10 and part of the Golden Oldie scheme which would see Cats Protection cover the cost of any new, age-related, illnesses he may incur.
Sid loves being around people so would prefer a home with someone about most of the time to keep him company. He wants to be the only pet and he may be fine with older children.
PLEASE NOTE: All of our cats for adoption MUST be homed where a cat flap provides them with access to an enclosed garden. We don't home on or near busy or main roads or railway tracks. Please call 01223 528312 to enquire about homing him.
for these items from Ruth and Tony this week - all very much appreciated by fosterers and cats 🐈 Our highest priority wishlist item is now Tins of food for the Community cats that we support 🐾
3 successful recent adoptions have reported back on their new homes ❤ We are delighted that they have all settled so quickly into their purrfect homes 🐾
Sonny and Dash were very excited about the latest Amazon delivery courtesy of supporter Ruth. Sonny loved his new white mouse and Dash enjoyed playing with his crinkle ball ❤🐾
Another success story ❤ Mac is a very lucky cat who doesn't have to live on the streets any more. He took only seconds to settle into his new home and his new owner says 'it's like he's always been here' 🐾🐈
Ginger (Arthur) was homed from us recently and look how comfortable he is in his new favourite chair 🥰 He has settled really well in his new home and his owners say "he is such a lovely cat and we feel really lucky to have him ❤" We're sure he feels the same about this purrfect match 😻
Cats of all ages - but especially these youngsters - love dangle toys ❤ Thank you to supporter Ruth for recent gift boxes of toys, alongside scratch boards for healthy claws 😻
Vincent sent an update from his adoptive home, where he moved two years ago from our foster care. He's absolutely loving life ❤
Sid is approximately 10 years old, a black and white long haired boy who - once he knows you - enjoys being brushed, even on his tummy! He loves tickles and ear rubs. He is at least 30% overweight and needs an owner who will support him to slim down. His ideal home is a quiet one with someone about most of the time to keep him company. Check our web site for his videos!

We heard from ex-foster kittens, siblings Buddy and Rose this week ❤ They still love cuddling up to each other as much as they did when they were in our care, and they couldn't be happier in their home 😻 Please share your own Cambridge Cats Protection adoption updates this Easter weekend as we love to see every one 🥰

It's hard to understand why lovely boys Buster and Buddy are still looking for a home. They are around 3 and came into care after losing their devoted owner. They are beautiful, friendly cats looking for a purrfect loving home. Meanwhile, they are currently enjoying lots of fuss, cuddles and playtime with their foster carer. We think they may be OK with older children.

A brilliant homing success story this week comes from 22 year old Zipkin ❤ adopted from our branch 19 years ago. He has always loved cuddles from his family, even more so as he has aged, waiting with pleading eyes (or yelling!) for someone to sit down so he can have a lap to sit on. He's also loved being around children and their toys, as shown in the picture from his younger years. We wish Zipkin many more happy years. Do you have an older cat? We love to hear all of your stories 🥰
Buster and Buddy are still looking for a home. They are 3 and sadly lost their owner. They would like a home together with no other cats, they may be OK with older children. They are friendly, enjoy fuss and cuddles with their fosterer and just want to find their purrfect home together. 🐈🐈

Adorable Filipe (now called Beans) sent us an update from his fabulous new home after 1 week ❤ He's incredibly well settled already, and is loving his new life, and has brought joy to the whole family. The valuable information and support our fosterer provided to help settle a foster cat into a new home was greatly appreciated too 🐾🐈 We love these stories and updates, keep them coming 🥰

Bo is a super friendly tortie girl aged 8 months. She absolutely loves to be fussed, and in return she gives the biggest purrs. She would love to find her forever home, without any other pets or children. All she asks for is a lap to sit on and plenty of cuddles. A couple of happy pairs in their happy places in forever homes ❤ Scout and Finch make the most of a cardboard box as only young cats can, then Mog and Nessie relax in their chosen spots in their purrfect new home. We always love to hear from our ex fosters in their new homes ❤
It's been hot and humid today, so perfect timing for Ruth's kind donation of cool mats perfectly sized for our pens. Maddie's lucky enough that her fosterer delivered it along with a hand held fan 😻
Thanks to Ruth ❤ for fresh delivery of scratchers 😻 Lola is really getting stuck in already! Lovely Lola, 5, is in our care because life with a dog was stressful. Once she trusts you, she just loves cuddles and tickles. She wants a quiet home but could possibly live with the right older children. ** All of our cats for adoption MUST be homed where a cat flap provides them with access to an enclosed garden. As a new year dawns we look back at 2022. Here are just a fraction of the dozens of cats we cared for last year - all enjoying attention from their dedicated fosterers. Enjoy! Please share your own pics if you adopted one of these, or indeed any cat from us 😻

Does your cat love being groomed, or dread the brush? No prizes for guessing how foster cat Shadow (aka Dumpling) feels about it 😻
For your enjoyment this #caturday, little Sidney road-tests scratch pads kindly donated from our wishlist. What does your cat like to scratch?
Shadow (aka Dumpling!) is looking for someone who can give her lots of love and tickles. She has piled on the pounds over the last couple of years so needs some support guidance to help her lose weight. She needs to be the only pet in the household but we think she will be fine with older children. She must have cat flap access to an enclosed garden. For all adoption enquiries please call us on 01223 528312.
Please share with us this #Caturday what your cat loves most in #ThePurrfectHome? For foster cat Betty, it's her scratch board and tickles from her fosterer!
Foster cat Betty enjoys a cat lolly! We hope all our supporters' cats are staying equally cool and hydrated in the heatwave - you may find this advice helpful: https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/home-and-environment/cats-and-warm-weather
