Happy New Year to all! May we all have a more peaceful 2024. We lost our older rabbit, Meredith, earlier this year so expect to welcome another bunny (or 2) in a few months. Hoping also to host cousin Pyper and to offer a cat a new home (once we have a proper home!) Idris is binkying in the living room right now - a good omen for the New Year!

It’s launch day! 🎉 🎧

After months of planning, collaborating and recording, we are so excited to share the first episode of ten, of our brand new, much-anticipated monthly podcast series, The Humanimal Connection Podcast 2.

Episode 1 is full of fascinating conversation and debate about the history of animal and human relationships, and why ethical governance in research is so important.

A huge thanks to our new host, Jane Davidson (Jane Rvn), and of course to our guests, Dr Emma Griffiths and Dr Jonathan Leighton 🙏

Happy New Year! Public Pet First Aid and animal Acupressure courses will resume in the summer of 2023 in NW England and Wales. Some spaces available for private courses before then. Wishing everyone a safe and happy 2023!

Update on plans for an ecumenical Buddhist centre with good disabled access.
Update: Thanks again to everyone who has donated to the GoFundMe appeal. This will be open until 23rd August 2022 as we consider how to move forward with our plans for an ecumenical Buddhist centre with good disabled access (link attached). If you are coming to the Retreat day this Saturday and have not yet RSVP’d, please let me know asap. Our new poetry book is due to be released any day now, and we hope to have print copies available to buy on the day - a sneak preview below! Looking forward to seeing many of you in person this weekend, with metta, Mary xx

ANIMAL ACUPRESSURE WORKSHOPS/FIRST AID COURSES, NW ENGLAND THIS JULY.

Is your pet experiencing vague symptoms that your vets can’t explain? Do they suffer from chronic health conditions that affect their quality of life? Are they emotionally sensitive and don’t respond well to basic training?

Come to a friendly workshop introducing the practice of Animal Acupressure, a gentle therapy which aims to harmonise mind and body.

Saturday July 16th, Hadfield Hall, Hadfield, SK13 4-6.30pm.
SMALL ANIMAL ACUPRESSURE (including cats, dogs, rabbits and more).

Sunday July 31st, Manchester Airport 2-4.30pm.
CANINE ACUPRESSURE – a more detailed look at how the therapy can help dogs of all ages, and how it relates to other services such as Hydrotherapy, Bowen therapy etc. (Stand alone workshop, can be combined with Small animals, but not required).

Cost of each workshop with all materials, tea and coffee: £30 per person. Book both for £45.

[On both days, the ProPet Level 2 VTQ Course in Canine First Aid or Pet First Aid runs at the same venue, cost £48. Book a first aid and acupressure course on the same day for £65]
