This is what Asociatia "Fiona si prietenii" experience, everytime they approach the shelter, imagine being just one person with over 400 dogs calling out for attention, how do you split your time and give them each what they need? It's impossible.
The only real way we can end this is by continuing to spay as many dogs as possible, please consider donating towards a spay, each one costs around £30, every spay is a step closer to the end of these dogs being born into a life of cruelty.

This stunning boy is Max, his owner gave up on him, he's been living life on the streets of Adjud, which he has apparently quite enjoyed! Until this weekend he was caught by the dog catchers, now he's in a small holding pen 😩 How tragic for such a magnificent dog that clearly loves his freedom.
How long will he be imprisoned? 😕
It all starts with you, here at Annie's Trust we are a small team that came together with the same idea in mind, to end the suffering of dogs that reside in a public shelter in Adjud. Over the years that help has extended to dogs living on the streets of Adjud, so far we have never turned a dog away, we provide food, basic treatments to major surgeries, life saving foster spaces, enrichment, spays, right down to treats. Without your support, non of it is possible, you are an extension of us and we are so beyond grateful that there are people out there willing to be part of the change. With so much suffering in Romania, change isn't just an option, it's a necessity.

Beryl has finally been offered a rescue spot out of Adjud Public shelter after living here for 8 long years!
Being an older gal at 9.5 years old, she won't need vigorous exercise but will be overjoyed at the simple comforts of a regular meal and a warm bed to rest her head on.
She's good with other dogs as she's been living with many for most of her lifetime in the public shelter.
If you feel you could be her saviour and could offer her a foster home, please reach out to us ASAP and we can put you in touch with the rescue offering her a placement. The rescue offer full RBU and will provide lots of support along your foster journey as required.

This poor dog was brought to the public shelter in this horrendous state, he was feeling so poorly from the tick infestation, we can't even imagine how uncomfortable he was or for how long.
The public shelter is now holding over 400 dogs and with so many dogs in such a confined space, fleas and ticks become a huge problem, it can lead to death. It's such a simple treatment but for over 400 dogs, you can imagine it works out quite expensive. We spend roughly 10k a year on just flea and tick treatments, then we spend all year trying to recuperate those funds.
That simple treatment, saved this dogs life.
