Bit of a sad news, we had to move on from our last premises, having to leave kennels behind. Which now puts us in difficult situation of having to let some of our dogs go.

All our dogs have solid obedience and are protection trained either at competitive or personal protection level.

Sometimes, people come to us struggling to control their dog, because their handling skills do not match the intensity of the breed. There might be nothing wrong with the dog in experienced hands, however hand the dog to an inexperienced handler and the dog will sense the weakness and take the p&ss out of you.

In cases like these, we think it’s much more beneficial to build the owners handling skills and experience, practising with our dogs, before we start rebuilding bond and leadership between the owner and their own dog.

This is Bianca and her Dutch Shepherd Eva.
Bianca didn’t chose the breed, her father did. He is a very experienced and a strong handler of working breeds, however he’s very busy with his work and the dog ends up depending on Bianca (complete newbie to working breeds).

Bianca will be working with us for next few weeks, training with various dogs of ours, until she gains the confidence and skills she needs.

Haters are everywhere. The way we look at it is we’re definitely doing something right, if we have haters/ other trainers making up stories about us. You clearly feel threatened, and we like it 😉
Little advise however, you should always work hard and try to elevate yourself and compete with us, instead of trying to drag others down to your level

🐾Hey guys, spaces available for our puppy / beginner obedience class! 🐾

We will work on showing you how to socialise your dog correctly, how to keep your dog focused in busy environment around dogs, kids, bikes etc. Work their obedience and coach you to become the best dog trainer for your pup 😊

All breeds of all sizes are welcome, sorry this class is not for dogs struggling with dog aggression. If you do have one with such behavioural issue, we are happy to help on 1-2-1 basis.

ENTRY: £30 per session per dog, or £200 for 10 sessions
TIME: every Saturday at 10am
LOCATION: Henfield, 30 seconds drive up the country road from the old railway pub. The field will be on your left.

One of the most challenging dogs I’ve ever had to train. Reactive ? Nope. separation anxiety ? Nope! Muzzle training 🤦🏽‍♂️. after long ass 8 weeks of training (we did obedience training and leash work as well but that was super easy with him) we finally got there. No matter how slowly we took it with him step by step, tried to build a positve connection to his muzzle movement muzzle, it was just not happening.

On a week 4 or 5, I took him to a busy town with the muzzle on, as we were making a big progress - or so I thought, so I thought to myself let’s finally take him and work in public as we can’t do all the training at the premises, it’s not realistic. This guy started wrestling with himself in the middle of the town, while trying to get the muzzle of he scratched inside of his mouth, causing blood to gush out of his mouth. He then manages to take the muzzle off, leaving me standing in the middle of a busy town with an unmuzzled XL Bully with blood coming out of his mouth 🤦🏽‍♂️. You can imagine the looks I was getting on my way back to the car.

After long 8 weeks, I had to go and get him a new muzzle to sort of start from square 1, as he would literally shake from simply seeing his original one.

Put it on him, made sure it’s not coming off and I let him throw a little tantrum this time. No more everything positive, sometimes as much as you hate it, flooding does work sometimes 🤦🏽‍♂️. He threw a tantrum, crocodile roles and everything. Once he was done and exhausted himself, we went for a walk. After about an hour of having it on, he finally went toilet, drank some water and took treats through the muzzle, so he started doing all the natural things, showing he’s getting a lot more comfortable with it on now.

We’ve taken it off and have put it back on this evening and he seems to be disentisised ! 🥳🎉🎉
He is 99% there now, we will just practise some more obedience while wearing the muzzle and he’s good to go home. It’s been a hell of a ride with this boy 😅.

This little pocket rocket is one of our own. She’s been selected for our breeding program alongside Karma. Pyro is slightly less stable and all drive 😂. Her future pups will not be going to any inexperienced dreamers for sure !

This majestic animal joined us for a week, while his owners are away. Super switched on, pleasure to work. He does have a major dog reactivity issue, so that will be the priority for us to deal with. Everything else is a bit of a play time for me to enjoy with him 😅

When you do what you love as a job, it can get a bit stagnant sometimes, as any other job and sometimes the passion slightly fades away. but seeing Mia looking up to me, learning and applying everything she observed into her handling skills, that definitely re-lights the spark and drives me to do better 💪🏼

It won’t be long till you see Mia working with me and taking part in competitions!

We’d like to thank BBC for giving us a bit of air time to bring our opinion across on the whole cropping ears situation. Not all our points have made it their edit unfortunately, the main point we wanted to bring across is, that there are plenty of dog owners with frustrated, untrained dogs that are not getting what they need. This leads to behavioural issues and in effect, their owners turn to neutering their dogs. We see this as an unnecessary mutilation and laziness on their owners part. This is a long term abuse in our eyes. Having said that, me personally or @kmeto.k9 as a company are NOT advocates for the procedure of cropping ears, and if a breeder gives you a choice, you should always go for no crop. Also to not be able to give a dog chance at life whether it is to import a good working dog or rescuing a dog that needs a home,because it’s ears have been cropped and is not allowed to enter country, would be a shame and unfair for the dogs.
