Dr Neil Powell Dog Training Properly trained, man can become a dog's best friend I have been training dogs for over 45years now.
(10)

Whilst much of my work has been in mountain rescue, I have also been a search dog handler as part of a joint team of fire fighters and volunteers from the the UK which assisted at major earthquakes in Turkey, Algeria and Kashmir. I have successfully trained dogs in the detection of explosives and illegal drugs and was the first person to discover that dogs could detect pirate DVD's. In the late 19

70's I introduced the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) to Ireland and to this day SARDA IN is the only officially declared voluntary Search Dog Team asset under NISAR (Northern Ireland Search and Rescue). Almost 30years ago I began a system for training dogs to detect bodies beneath the water surface in both the UK and Ireland. I am also a member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and work as a dog behaviourist with challenging dogs of all breeds and ages.

Searching for the perfect Christmas present for that Dog Lover in your life??
Here's a sample of the reviews,
Anonymouse;
"...Incredible story, funny in places and heartbreaking in others but a compelling read and one I didn’t want to end..."
Damian O'Neill;
"...I was given Neil's book to read as I love dogs. When I started to read it I couldn't put it down. I walked the path he took, living his emotions and mine. Laughing and crying all the way to the end and then I wanted more..."
Ross Phillipson;
"...Neil's book traces his involvement from childhood to becoming the world-class dog trainer he is. It's a tale of the unsung heroes of mountain rescue, disaster searches and, above all, a deeply affecting connection with those dogs which have shaped Neil's life..."

'In 1972, when I first began to discover the delights of the mountains and then became involved with search and rescue, I found that I could combine my love of dogs with this new passion for the great outdoors. Search Dogs & Me charts the journey which has taken me and my dogs from Donegal, Kerry...

I was sent this lovely review from Lynn yesterday and she’s asked me to share it for her on my page. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this Lynn, I’m very grateful. Keep up the good work!🐾🐾 Neil ☺️

“What a God send Neil was. Maisy and I were both reassured by his gentle but firm approach which set us off on the right footing. With Maisy being only 12 weeks, many thought I was crazy to start dog training so early. The advantages are that Maisy and I have a balanced relationship with clear boundaries enabling Maisy to flourish. Many potential problems have been nipped in the bud and every day, Maisy faces new challenges with confidence and calmness.
Neil has a wealth of experience - his insight and experience have ensured I have confidence in training Maisy. It is a pleasure to work with him. I cannot recommend his services highly enough.”
