What a fab way to spend time with other small businesses networking, learning and listening to inspirational business success stories at the .

When you work alone in your business like I do, the opportunity to meet up with business owners is the same position is so brilliant and makes me feel less alone.

Lots of valuable information was shared by and in the breakout sessions, which will undoubtedly help me improve my website.

I now have lots added to my to do list that will help drive my business forward. 😊

I also had the chance to meet up with the pet business possé who are such good fun and the source of much laughter and support. 🥰

We are all navigating the trials, tribulations and the occasional wobbles that occur when running a business. It’s so reassuring to know I can find friendly support when I need it.

The date for those last minute Christmas orders is 16th December and they will be sent first class by Wednesday 18th to ensure they arrive in time for your pups to be dressed and ready for the festivities. 🐾🐾🎄

We will be closing for the holidays on 18th December until mid January so I can get all my admin and tax sorted out on time.

So if you’ve been planning to buy one of our gorgeous bows or bandanas tomorrow is your last chance.

These timeless classic tartan bows are flying off the shelves at LC&M HQ.
These are a few of the ones ready for posting tomorrow.

This year we have introduced two new sizes of Christmas bow. There is a Mini, Standard and Jumbow.

Eventually all three sizes will be available throughout our extensive range of fabrics.

The Mini is approximately 3.5” the Standard 4.5” and the Jumbow a massive 6.5” across.

We will be posting out parcels until 18th December so last orders will need to placed by Saturday 14th to ensure you get your festive accessories in time for Christmas.

December 1st is a very special day in our house as it is also Charley’s birthday. She’s 8 today.

She was the inspiration behind my business and the reason I created this twinning day so we could celebrate each year by dressing alike.

Liberty produced some gorgeous prints for Christmas this year. 🐾🐾🎄

Tangled Christmas Lights is one of them.

The collars and lead handles are lined with soft navy velvet ribbon for comfort and that luxurious feel. 🐾🐾🎄

The bandanas and bows look very cute.

Over the next few weeks I’m out and about in Stafford with my festive collection of dog accessories.

I’m starting off at the Young Farmers Christmas Shopping Evening in the Ingestre Suit at the County Showground this Thursday.

On Friday evening I will be at the Weston Village Hall Christmas Shopping Evening and lights switch on.

Then for the next three consecutive Saturdays I will be having a pop up shop at AmertonFarm.

Come along and join the local festivities, mulled wine, mince pies and much more.

When you are the only person in a small business you have to become proficient at lots of different jobs that are essential to the everyday running of the business.

The sewing and creating is the easy bit for me.

The packing, posting, marketing, accounts, planning of events, stock levels and keeping up a presence on social media can be all consuming.

Website maintenance and uploading of new designs is a job that drives me crazy. It takes ages, photographing and uploading images, adding alt tags, links and sorting out SEO, checking keywords and then making it all look cohesive can take hours and hours because I’m not particularly tech minded.

But I’ve done it!

The Christmas Collections are live on the Leo Charley and Me website! 🎄

All the stock is made for the Christmas Fairs and I’m good to go!

This is the first of 5 new seasonal prints. It’s a soft cotton poplin Red Tartan which is perfect for the festive season and beyond.

It’s available as a collar, lead, bandana, bow tie and scrunchie.
(Just in time for )

There are new sizes of bows to accommodate all sizes of dog. There’s a Tiny bow for all the sausages out there. We have our Standard bow that is the right size for most dogs and then there is the Jumbow for the Big Dawgs and anyone who wants to make a statement!

All three sizes are available in these new fabrics to start with and eventually will be available throughout our collection.

Though if you want anything different to our standard bow drop a note in the box when you order and I will try to accommodate your requests.

I’m so lucky to have Winnie and Gertie modelling two of our new Christmas prints which drop onto the website tomorrow.

The girls are wearing the gorgeous Christmas Snowstorm and Liberty Tangled prints. 🎄

There is also a super cute Red Tartan, a Metallic Red Holly and another beautiful Liberty print, Tumbling Baubles. 🎄

The collars and lead handles are lined with soft velvet in coordinated colours which makes them so luxurious and comfortable to use. 🎄

They are all made by me here in rural Staffordshire from high quality cotton fabric.

Here’s our little black dog on

Did you know that black dogs are less likely to be adopted from rescue centres.

In folklore they are seen as sinister and malevolent beings so National Black Dog Day was created to try to promote fairness towards black dogs.

Charley is a typical active and bouncy spaniel who loves to cuddle up to is at night. The only difficulty we have with regards to her colour is that it’s harder to get good photos of her.

She’s a great model for my handmade accessories as all colours look amazing on her.

Occasionally we do manage to get good photos of her. This shot is one of my absolute favourites. 🐾🐾🥰

This supaw model duo had a brand new holiday pawdrobe featuring our summer range of bandanas which were perfect for their frolics in France.

I love it when their mum sends me pics of the girls wearing my handmade accessories whilst on their travels.
