The Neon Tetra is probably the world's most popular small tropical fish that really brightens up a freshwater tropical aquarium. Neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) inhabit locations in South America - the Rio Taquari, Brazilarea and Paraguay River basins.
In the wild the neon tetra prefers to live in slow tributaries of large rivers with dark water that flows through the thick rain forest, so very small amount of sunlight gets into the water. The neon tetra lives in schools, a mid-level swimmer, and feeds on different insects.

A breaching has capsized a boat and sent two people flying into the water.
Video shows how a humpback whale suddenly appeared out of the water before flipping over a small, 23-foot (7m) vessel.

The operator of a replica pirate ship has spoken of his surprise after spotting a shark in the water off the coast of Scarborough.
Peter Williams caught the porbeagle shark on camera swimming close to the Hispaniola Pirate Ship as it left the harbour.
Ex-fisherman Peter Williams says it was rare to see a porbeagle shark swimming so close to the boat.

Here at Real Aquatics we stock a wide range of tropical fish ready for you to stock up your aquarium! From easy to care for beginner fish through to more exotic and complex species, we have a great range of live fish to buy online. Each species has different characteristics to offer, so it is a good idea to check which species will work best in your tank before you buy. For easy reference, each species available here has information about their care and feeding needs as well as a compatibility chart to see which species can live happily alongside one another.
Whether you're looking to purchase tropical fish online including popular species such as Tetra, Guppys, Molly, Swordtail or many others, we can help with your request. We also stock a wide range of Sharks and the popular Rainbow Fish. Our tropical fish stock is continuously changing and we go to great lengths to ensure the favorites are kept in stock.
LIVE FISH
Ensuring welfare of fish in our care is vitally important to us. Under usual retail circumstances, tropical fish are imported from overseas and transported to a quarantine system. They are subsequently transported to a retail shop, and further transported to your home aquarium. A total of 4 points of transit.
By ordering via our website, your fish will only make 3 journeys. Importation > Quarantine > Your Aquaria. Please be assured that, by ordering online, journey time using our tried-and-tested delivery methods should have no detrimental effect on welfare. We will only send fish from a system that has completed at least 7 days quarantine and are deemed healthy and suitable for transit.
Postage of LIVE FISH is £16.95 via APC Courier Fish Service, or FREE for orders above £100.
