🎄 Christmas Dog Training: A Survival Guide 🎄
Ah yes, the most wonderful time of the year, when your dog forgets everything they’ve ever learned and chooses chaos.
✨ Festive Reminder:
Your dog has not “regressed.”
They are simply overstimulated, under-exercised, and deeply offended by the existence of tinsel.
🎁 Presents Are Not Free-Range Toys
Wrapping paper is not enrichment.
Boxes are not puzzles.
And stealing gifts does not count as “confidence building.”
🔔 Doorbell Training (LOL)
Every ring is clearly a personal attack.
Expect:
• Barking
• Screaming
• Parkour off the couch
• One guest emotionally scarred
🎄 The Christmas Tree
Your dog sees:
✔ A snack dispenser
✔ A hydration station
✔ A vertical litter box
You see:
❌ Hope
❌ Dreams
❌ Baubles shattering
🐕 Guests Came for Food, Not to Be Jumped On
No, your dog does not “just get excited.”
Yes, training before Christmas would have helped.
No, yelling “DOWN” louder will not magically work this time.
🎅 Final Thought:
If your dog is calm this Christmas, congratulations—you trained consistently.
If not, congratulations—you trained a dog.
Happy Christmas.
May your cues hold and your wine be strong. 🍷🐾
