Shout out to these two for smashing their training, on week two and both have learnt “touch” which can be used for engagement and recall and “go to mat”. Learning to go on their mat can be a great alternative behaviour to jumping up at guests or to encourage settling. Go Milo and Bella!!

Please be mindful of grass seeds at the moment. They can really burrow their way into your pet. Most commonly in their paws and ears, however, this poor soul got one stuck up his nose 😢

The beautiful and very clever Lottie had a fantastic session this morning. She had a 1-1 training session where we introduced focus/engagement and loose lead training. She picked it up incredibly fast and I thoroughly enjoyed training with her 🐶🥰

I was asked to help with Bailey’s walking as he has a tendancy to become over aroused and therefore pulls on the lead.

We started off with working on his focus and engagement, which helps pull him back if he becomes overstimulated. We then worked on his loose lead training.

This is Bailey after his second session. He is walking much better, thanks to the hard work put in from his caregivers, inbetween our sessions.
Teaching lead manners means everyone can enjoy the walk!

Hi 👋
I’m thinking of hosting a meet & greet in the next coming weeks. This would be for anyone who may be interested in my services and would like to meet me first and ask more about my methods and what’s included.

I would also love for other doggy businesses in the area to come and meet me and each other as there are services I can’t offer and would love to have someone to refer to and recommend. Let’s get to know each other. Our dog loving community! (Dog sitters, walkers, behaviourists, boarders, groomers).

I trained with The Victoria Stilwell Academy, where I learnt all about dog training and topped up my knowledge in canine behaviour. I am also a certificate holder in animal behaviour, alongside my veterinary nurse diploma.

I joined the VSA team because of their thorough and intensive course content and their overall ethos.

Being a veterinary nurse means that I have to keep up with continuous professional development (CPD). I am required to record 15hrs a year. So I am regularly updating my knowledge in canine behaviour, as well as other nursing/clinical areas such as emergency care.
